The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

The remake looks actively worse than the remaster. It’s clear they just took the TLOU2 models to use for it.

Full Mocap (Remake) Vs Mocap retouched by hand: it's an Uncanny Valley fiesta

He apparently claimed TLOU2 has sold 10M copies.

Gaming is fucking dead.

Considering how heavily discounted the game was shortly after the launch and all the bundles it was put it's not unbelievable

Still I'm curious to know how many copies Sony expected to sell before the leak happened and hell break loose

The remake does look better than the original, but sure as shit not $70 better, especially with them cutting out the multiplayer.

I know some people were perplexed about Dead Space getting remade, but that one didn't already have a readily available remaster like The Last of Us did, nor was it hot off the heels of a "successful" sequel (10 million's nothing to scoff at, but that's after 2 years and discounts/bundles). There's not even a damn Dead Space TV show in the works, so it has far more justification to exist than this one does.

Who wants to bet they'll cram in hamfisted references to 2 and change Joel to make Gigantor's wrath "vindicated"?

Bundles in a timeframe where a lot of people were getting consoles due to lockdown/quarantine/work from home.

I’ve mentioned in a few threads that I have a ps5 entirely because I was bored the first time Gamestop did their membership thing and got lucky. I’d bet money all the sales for Destruction All-Stars are from that, and most of the Sackboy game’s sales too.

You'd think those who hated Pt. 2 wouldn't buy this. I mean, what's the point? To play the same game you've already played where you sympathise with a protagonist that just gets his head caved in by a roid monster in the sequel and his reputation shat on? And the dyke he's a father figure to in the first game pussies out at the moment of truth?

Game series only has two titles and some gay DLC (literally), and it's already a steaming pile. Just let it be dead - it's better than enabling Druckmann.

Some people here are already suggesting that if Druckmann goes as far as to make changes to the story, he'd take the opportunity to disparage Joel. I'm particularly reminded of Druckmann's batty view of the game's beloved ending in which he always thought that Joel was in the wrong, so I wonder if he'll tweak story elements to validate that view.

The first thing that came to my mind, though, is that Druckmann will make Ellie gayer.
