Nintendo gets away with charging $45 for 2-3 roms that are 35+ years old.
There has to be a formula for equivalency somewhere.
I think Square has Final Fantasy 1-6 still go for over 75 dollars.

That's actually more of a collector's item, it also obviously includes (cheap) hardware. Not that I think it's a good deal or anything, it should be $20.

Bandai Namco was able to put their own store exclusive special edition of Tales of Arise up and Elden Ring and that didn't brick their site either.
Nintendo couldn't even match those standards.

To add to this, I can understand The Last of Us being remastered for PS4 as a new surplus of users were potentially coming in from Xbox.
There's literally no reason for this "remake." On top of this being for a system that is hard to find.

Because they're being housed by chips that are probably more expensive now? Not excusing it but it provides context. Also Nobody picks these things up unless they're diehard Nintendo nerds and who wants a collectable, not some game that has some fresh coat paint & charging 70 bucks for the base version

I think people are forgetting that there's a lot of precedent for this
The Shadow of Colossus remake got a full priced special edition on the PS4 and that's a PS2 game
Demon's Souls remake was full priced on the PS5 and that's a PS3 game
Skyrim for PS5 released on the system as a full priced game and that was on the PS3

Shadow of the Colossus chugged on PS2, pushing the system, a remake was justified. TLOU1 didn't need a remake. Well, except to make it not poorly designed with a bad story and boring characters, but they're not doing that. It would take a reimagining to fix the game.

Well not really, corona fucked a good many things and you had GT7 and Horizon which would have been PS5 only get last minute last gen additions.
Considering that those games sold signifgantly higher on the newer hardware than old, it's going to be the same for their future exclusives as well. Especially since the PS5 is still selling, so by the time something like Ragnarok comes along the gap in sales between PS4 and PS5 will be even higher.
This also isn't factoring in their future acquisitions, there may be a situation where a former multiplatform series will then go full Playstation exclusive. PC ports are only happening with stuff that had multimedia projects going on or have the intention of being live service.

GT7: Online only MTX-riddled hellhole where you can't even sell cars?? Let's not forget the fact they are raising the price of Vehicles 'to match inflation' yet they cut down the rewards for different tracks for balance reasons???
Horizon forbidden West just looks like the first game with more bells & whistles, and it is available on PS4. Along with GT7.
There is absolutely no reason to get a PS5 because by the time they're in stores both of these games will be on PC.
Is there a Days Gone TV show? Or a Horizon TV show/movie? What about Snoyder Man and Returnal? Returnal had its codename leaked to steam weeks ago.
