I don't think any amount of J6 theater will save them in the midterms. The very best they seem to have to hope for is that it's enough to get trump off the ticket for 2024, which while that would suck, I don't think they understand that Trump is too old to really pit the future on anymore and we have better options now specifically thanks to Trump resetting the political field.

It'll be worse in 2024 if they continue to talk about it in the debates.

What the fuck can I do to try to protect my assets from inflation? Right now I just have money sitting in the bank and I know I am getting absolutely fucked. But there is no familial knowledge on how to protect yourself from this. Invest in stocks? Idk. What are you people doing and are you seeing success with it?

If you've got 2k to drop and basic diy tools and are in a relatively sunny area buy yourself a small solar system, battery and deep freezer. 600w of panels and 200ah 12v will cover a freezer pretty reliably and you can stuff it full of clearance/cheap meat whenever you run into it.

I went to Costco yesterday to top off my gas tank before the price of gas went up again. I paid 5.15 a gallon for regular, a month ago I paid 4.49.
There are a few Shell gas stations in my area that are currently at 5.75 for regular. There are 20 pumps (might be a few more, I've never counted) at Costco, and lately, the lot has been full of cars, sometimes a line out in the street.

Costco has been selling this for awhile.
