Had a conversation with my best friend the other day about how I couldn't justify coming to visit him with gas prices being so high, and that's pretty much what he said too. I laid out all the facts (Biden and the greenies putting forth hostile policies against oil companies; the time it takes to get a rig up and running; the knock-on effects of coof lockdowns finally rearing their heads; the flimsy excuses of blaming it all on Russia; basic economics dictating that they'd be pumping like crazy with prices being so high, so if they're not then there's something else going on), but he refused to believe that it was anything more than greed and price gouging.
I need to get him off of Reddit already. That site's bubble is just not giving him anything close to the truth.

The further Trump gets out of their reach as someone to pin everything wrong on, the more absurd it seems that he's using "the people who want to Make America Great Again" as an insult.
If you were a true blue Dem voter who had spent the last 6 years too busy screeching about trump to notice, that's not good optics to normal people.
