Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

There was a boy who suffered whole brain death at age 4 from meningitis who was kept "alive" on a ventilator for over 20(!) years. His full identity has not been revealed, but he's known in medical research circles as "TK". According to the autopsy report, his dead brain tissue had calcified inside his cranium and turned to a stone-like substance:

His "life" on the ventilator was a grotesque horror show, but this happened in the 80's and it shows us that the Mama Nails and Hollie Dances are not a 21st century invention.
So for him, machines were pumping air into his lungs, but was his heart also being stimulated by something to keep beating? Is that where confusion about brain death comes from, when the brain is as good as a rock but just enough is there to tell the heart to beat?

That's the thing: the heart doesn't need electric input from any other organ, including the brain, just to beat. It has its own inbuilt "miniature" nervous system in the sinus node. Neuro transmitters such as noradrenaline/adrenaline affect heart rate, yes, but even in the absence of neuro transmitters, the heart will maintain a base rhythm as long as the surrounding tissues allow for it. If this mechanism did not exist, we wouldn't have these literal zomkids.

Holy hell! I had no idea. That makes a lot of sense and is kind of brilliant of the human body. I've heard "heart death" being described as separate from brain death before and didn't understand how that worked. Thanks for enlightening me!

So when people talk about a fetus' heart beating at 12 weeks or whatever, that doesn't mean the level of brain development it's meant to imply, i guess?

A heart will keep beating on a table on its own. The fetal heart fluttering just shows that there beginnings of a functional heart are developing. It's not fully formed or functional yet at those early stages, just a little node of cells with a fluttering pulse.

The Soviets did some gruesome research into reanimating dead dogs heads and so forth. It's amazing how convincingly "alive" we can frankenstein dead meat into behaving.

Heart cells will coalesce into a film and pulse when cultured in a dish. It’s freaky as all shit, but just what they do.

I think that’s why pacemakers work. You can literally plug in a battery to a failing heart and it’ll keep up the job.

"Heart death" and "brain death" only became two separate entities with the invention of the ventilator. I've heard the saying "short term miracle but long term curse", and I think it's apt. It's usually the other organs that fail long before the heart, because unlike the cardiac muscle, they do need input from the brain to do their job correctly. But as we can all see, people with strong hearts and robust immune systems (the immune system does not come from the brain; it's a combination of blood marrow, spleen, liver, gut) can last for years on end on a vent.

The only positive aspect of the Archie Battersbee horror show is that Archie himself is not suffering. A corpse cannot suffer, but what the mother is doing is extremely grotesque and tasteless, so I hope they'll pull the plug against her wishes and allow Archie's remains to be buried with a level of dignity.

I've been wondering for a while why Hollie doesn't have the same surname as any of her children and thinking that it's convenient that a lap dancer would have the surname Dance. Should've scrubbed her FB better. Hollie Dance is or was Lisa Jane Pittaway.

Confirmed on Companies House. Lisa Jane Pittaway born September 1976 was Director of Poledance UK and living at the time at 12, Archer Avenue, Southend.

Why would someone change their first name and surname? Maybe a history of violent assaults?

A woman driver who attacked two late-night girl clubbers has been spared a prison sentence.

Lisa Pittaway, 28, broke the nose of one reveller and gave the other a black eye.

Pittaway, of Archer Avenue, Southend, was given a three-month prison sentence by the town's magistrates on two counts of common assault.

Yesterday, she lost her appeal at Basildon Crown Court against conviction but the jail sentence was replaced by 200 hours of community service.

One victim, Siobhan Phipps, said the incident began when she and friend Kirsty Hurrell left Talk nightclub in Southend.

They were walking across the road at traffic lights when Pittaway's car pulled up and she began shouting.

Ms Phipps said the driver got out and punched her in the face several times, breaking her nose.

Ms Hurrell described how she was nearly knocked down while crossing the road.

She and Pittaway exchanged words and Miss Hurrell admitted hitting out at her. Pittaway returned later to punch her in the face.

Pittaway, who has a previous conviction for causing actual bodily harm, alleged she was kicked in the brawl and clumps of hair were pulled out. She was ordered to pay £175 court costs.

Lmao of course, what did I say? She's rough as hell.

Powerlevel here but I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (diagnosed before it was trendy) and it's not that damned serious. I'm tired of these munchies tarnishing the condition with their bullshit and turning it into a joke - I don't like telling doctors about it because they will probably assume I'm full of shit and disregard whatever else I say. My joints are a little bit creaky and weak and my skin scrapes more easily than normal but other than that, I'm totally normal and don't need a feeding tube or a million braces and a wheelchair or whatever the fuck else is the latest munchie fashion. God, it gets on my nerves.

Freaky:
"When the skull was opened, the autopsy revealed a hard, nearly spherical mass of approximately four inches in diameter with an irregular surface. No definite posterior brain structures including neither the cerebellum nor the brain stem were identifiable. CT analysis revealed irregular densities and signal changes consistent with calcification throughout the interior of the mass. MRI of the same sample revealed no identifiable specific anatomic brain structures. Sectioning of the mass with a saw revealed that the specimen consisted of a hollow hard-calcified shell containing semisolid material resembling clotted blood surrounding cyst-like spaces. There were no identifiable cerebral structures within the mass. Microscopic examination revealed mineralized deposits and material that resembled blood clots that had become, as the autopsy described it, “mummified.” No nerve cells or nerve cell structures were recognizable under the light microscope. No signals for any neuronal specific markers were detected by immunohistochemistry."

Another more in-depth article is attached.
That's strange, usually their brain liquified rather than hardens, from what I've read. Either one is horrific!

I'm gonna guess based on the lack of anatomical structures that what happened here is the brain turned into fluid cysts, luna style, which then became one giant cyst, and the capsule of that cyst then calcified as it had nowhere to go.

The phrase “image and likeness of God” appears waaaaaay too many times on that page ostensibly published as a case study on a .gov medical site. Not to mention the references to Pope John Paul II.

From the article @GenociderSyo posted. Apparently you need some blood-flow for the white blood cells to arrive and start chomping down. This body had none, so the rotting tissue literally had nowhere to go.

..are those bruises or spots of decay...

Its amazing really the level of denial and self deception people are capable of. Hollie in the brief time weve followed her has absorbed all this medical lingo despite being clinically stupid herself, and yet doesn't understand that archie is wasting away and looking like a corpse becuse he is dead, and that there is no rush to get a GI specialist to him becuse he is dead.
