ah, yeah, if it's online only then that'd definitely fuck with modding.

is Genshin (or whatever game its based on) online only? i've never really had any interest in it.
Never played it but i know for sure its online only and has no modding community at all, but genshin also has rules against modding so maybe no one tried, if cover allows/is neutral on the topic you may see some people make model mods and stuff

for what it's worth private genshin servers have popped up just recently that do allow modding, so it's only a matter of time before holoearth gets rebuilt for an offline version if someone's autistic enough to do that.

as for the game models, they're just the official models and they already offer them as free downloads for mmd.

tbh i don't quite like that it's an asset flip, the hololive cast looks so out of place and like they're mocap'd into the cutscenes, i hope they settle for a more unified art style that fits into the world, because while this is an improvement over what little we've seen before it still looks like a tech demo with a generic vaguely fantasy setting. say what you will about genshin, but that game oozes design and style

A selection of JP holo will be offically co-streaming the Capcom Showcase on 13th, given this is also most likely a precursor to the new Monster Hunter expansions demo release, prepare for such content.

Playing a male character and being able to hang out with Roberu might be the only thing that makes the shitty Genshin clone remotely fun.
Yearly reminder that Genshin Impact itself is just a shitty Breath of the Wild clone but with waifus. This makes it another Breath of the Wild Clone with even better waifus.

iirc HoloEarth was supposed to be a sandbox game. This implies it WILL be completely modable. Just hoping the hype doesn't kill it like Cyberpunk 2077.

Looks like JP side got their own OmegaA with the new HoloEarth main character:

Hopefully this one isn't as autustic, but I am not holding my breath on that.

That's the default main character of the game which was designed by trigger to promote the game (I guess).
But the account retweeted a ton of preproduction stuff that was posted by the production team. Looks really cool

I know it was posted earlier but God do I love Subaru saying Goldfish Cracker like she's trying to get a commercial for it when they come to Japan. This week has been a solid beat of Shuba showing she's best idol.

And everyone bullying Korone is great too, I can only see her new angry chibi form when I see her name, embrace the Hot Dog you Mad Dog:

I take it Kson isn't worried about antis putting GPS trackers in the boxes. Does that mean all thus stuff is processed at another site, searched and deemed safe? Wonder what that service costs?
Considering she's no longer "sought after" and "WHO IS THIS PERSON BEHIND THE VTUBER?!" it's very unlikely to happen since the few incidents of that were to try to discover the real person. She's also no where near idol status. If it was done off-site she probably does use a prox service, but she's also pretty smart to know what to look for. If someone like Korone or Suisei wanted physical gifts, you can bet your ass if it didn't go through Cover people would create their own trackers at that point.

Ok they are so going for the sort of "Genshin Impact" sort of look and feel. Menus looks close and the whole world itself is fairly close as well. Fair play though, looks like the made quite some progress since last time they showed anything off now. I remain hopeful they will pull this off somehow.
Hahaha I love the image with Botan, the black/white filter on her makes it look like she's dead and is offering you rockets and a launcher to go take out the bastard that put her down.

Overall, from what I seen it looks like it'll be a mixture of a lot of genres. Going to have RPG questing in a sorta open world, survival mechanics with needing to take care of your user health, crafting/building mechanics for buildings and probs you make for the scenery when the girls do things, and also a bit of pokemon snap with how you probs go around and record the girls doing things out in the wild and upload it to your personal gallery or this game worlds version of youtube to share with others. Game still looks like a janky unity game, but it's still in development so we'll have to wait more. My other question is, I know they said it's a MMO but does that mean we will see massive amount of people everywhere or only in the town sections where the girls will hold events and stuff for people to gather at?

IRyS Tax: Giving this thread some hopium after all the dopium last night.
I want so much hope from IRyS right now.jpg

She used a professional service that take care of gift and check every single box of its content off-site in some warehouse with her manager also checking along with them. Only when they deem it as safe did they repack it and send to her home. She also set a rule to not allow some stuff that would be hard to check for bug, namely handmade gift and doll. I believe all food stuff has to come from online stores as well.
Would be feasible for Holomems I guess if they're willing to shoulder the cost. I expect it wouldn't come cheep.

Also, she still live with PJK/Kanata who have almost zero breadcrumb so far, not to mention the Ching anti who would love to know where to send their deaththreats.

Lui birthday part 2. With jp girls now.
HoloX called into the countdown stream instead of this one, so that's three call-in streams, one guerrilla watchalong of a Luitomo-sponsored horse race (I don't get it either), and one member zatsudan for one birthday. Also instead of announcing her 3D debut she announced that there would be an announcement next week. :story:

Timestamp for orisong teaser (1:00:34):

Lol, i love you Hololive but that game trailer looks like abject garbage, there's just no denying that.

I think COVER would be way smarter if they made a (GOOD) anime or a long running manga anthology, a game just seems like too much for them to handle and they do not have the expertise for it.
Have always thought that this idea of a sandbox/genshin clone (it looks a lot like genshin and people will never stop comparing it) is the wrong path to take, if they wanted to make a gacha to suck money out of people just make something that uses JPGs or pixel chibis of the talents rather than 3D models and barely has any "game" at all.
If they wanted to make an actually GOOD game then i would recommend something like a rhythm, idol management or even fighting game, those are all better ideas than whatever they are doing wasting their time on.

Edit: Also my wife Nene be lookin' extra cute in that PV, my soul is healed today, the rope shall not have me yet.
