A sheriff in Tennessee urged people to not pick up folded dollar bills they may find because his department recently tested some that were positive for methamphetamine and fentanyl. (This is not the actual dollar bill found with drugs in it)

A sheriff in Tennessee has issued a public safety warning about folded dollar bills.

The Giles County Sheriff’s Department said on social media that his office has investigated two recent incidents where a folded dollar bill was found on the floor at a gas station.

“When it was found and picked up, the person discovered a white powdery substance inside. The substance was later tested and was positive for methamphetamine and fentanyl.”

Even a very small amount of fentanyl - far smaller than the size of a penny - is enough to kill anyone, the sheriff said alongside a photo of a penny with a lethal amount of the drug.

This is [a] very dangerous issue. Please share and educate your children to not pick up any folded money they may find in or around businesses, playgrounds, etc., without using great caution and even alerting a parent or guardian.”

Kavita Babu, professor of Emergency Medicine at UMass Chan Medical School said in an editorial on PennLive, “Milligram per milligram, fentanyl is roughly 50 times more potent than heroin and 100 times more potent than morphine.”

Overdose victims are often unaware that the drugs they ingested were laced with fentanyl.

I seem to recall a death around this time two years ago where there was some confusion about fentanyl being involved in a death while someone was in police custody but this article seems to indicate that a small amount of fentanyl is deadly and addicts often get fentanyl laced drugs and don’t know it.

Kinda like how certain people are questioning the decision to quarantine, which also happened around the same time.

“Get to the point, faggot” I hear you cry and the point is the lies around 2020 are starting to fall apart and a lot faster than I initially thought.

I read it and I re-read it at I can't tell what you are supposed to do, the article only seems to say what not to do?

I mean, it tells kids to tell an adult, but what does the adult do? You can't just leave it there, it could hurt someone else. And you can't move it, it could hurt you. And you can't call someone else to do it, for reason @Keavy Rain has hinted at.

so NOW we're supposed to care about fentanyl and meth as a problem when REAL MONEY is involved? Fucking dumbasses, who the hell licks dollar bills? You're gonna stash your meth and fentanyl in some money lying around your dumb ass is out of both the drugs and dollars.
Seriously though, this shit glows like some kind of elaborate setup to catch people with drug charges.

I legit shove nickles in my asshole. Like, thousands of nickels, all inside my ass, everyday.

Then, after a few minutes, I take them out and donate those nickles to Jewish synagogues.

But this is a whole other deal!! Wow!! What jerks, right? What kind of weirdo would leave free drugs and cash around?

Only if you have open cuts on your hand or you don't wash your hands after handling it and like eat something. Also if it is a fine dust and becomes airborne and you breathe it in.
I don'tthink that'd kill you, just get you high as balls considering people do fentanyl and only tend to die when they do a FUCKLOAD of it in one sitting like a certain guy did.

So, wait... can fentanyl kill you just from touching it? I honestly have no idea.

I'm pretty sure that's actually bullshit perpetuated by police for some stupid reason or another.
You don't want it around you, there are a few clips of cops getting hit by it.

edit: Though maybe both are not fentanyl? No clue but here's a video saying it might be something else.

Not a chemist or a pharmacologist, but it is my understanding that touch alone would not be sufficient to cause issues. Now if it was safely lingering on your skin, got dissolved in sweat, and got carried to a mucus membrane like your eyes, nose, or mouth it could be a big problem. Certain lotions, topical treatments, and other chemicals do fairly readily pass through the skin and it would not be inconceivable for some of those to also readily pick up the fentanyl while passing through. It's the secondary exposure that poses the largest risk if it's not directly ingested.

It's also probably why medfags are alright letting exposed cops have their dramatic moment because they were in the same room with it. It takes a tiny amount someone could be carrying without even noticing to kill someone. People are fucking disgusting and even with an existential threat looming it is better to have professionals do showering/doffing/observation to make damn sure none is still sneaking around.
