I'm pretty sure it is only targeting people under the age of 21. There is going to be extensive background checks for people under 21 and red flag laws added. I'm not totally sure what they are going to do about magazines but pretty much all guns are still going to be legal you just cant have drum magazines or high capacity magazines. There also is going to be more tax I think. I still am skeptical if this really passes.

It doesn’t look like they’re doing anything with magazines. So your standard 30rd and drum magazines will likely still be legal.

It seems like they’re setting up grants for states to enforce red flag laws but the states that are actually interested in those already have them… so that’s a big nothingburger.

And from what I’ve read, the ‘enhanced background check’ for 18-21 year olds seem to allow NICS to access juvenile records when doing a background check. I’d need to know more about this one, but I’m not necessarily opposed to this one. If you find yourself involuntarily committed or catch a felony level charge at 17, I don’t mind that you have to wait 3 years for that to fall off your record.

What I want to know is how the rot got so bad in our government, it seems like no position high or low is untouched. I honestly don't know how you would go about dealing with all the corruption and abuses of power that occurs at this point, outside of voting is there really nothing we can do to hold our public officials accountable?
