Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

I don't know if anyone's seen the latest news:
Disney has come out and admitted the episodes of Kenobi put out to this date were an elaborate troll. The whole thing was an elaborate "Revenge of the Fifth" prank on the fandom.

All the news sources are saying they were planning to keep the lid on until July, but looks like someone already leaked to the media, so disney has released the first REAL Kenobi episode on youtube, and given the series a really cool subtitle:
Kenobi: The Hunt

This is release was supposed to help get fans attention back as they do things to win the Fans back by firing SJW non-fan dead weight like rice and officially removing Star Wars from LucasFilm (and Kennedy's) control, putting it under Fiege.

Anyway, just watch for yourself and see if you agree that Disney is bringing back Star Wars for the fans.

I'm not going to say they have officially decannonized the sequels but... well, watch it and then you tell me if the ST is canon or not.
The Hunt, Boyeeeee

This also makes me wish we got something that followed troopers as actually well written characters. And not have it pull some gay bullshit like they join the rebels at the end. Disney is so full of shit with how they randomly act like things are "grey" only to always go back to "muh space nazis" over and over. Even kids could write something more complex and would on the playground lol.
You ever look at the I.M.P.S fan films? They do that

I agree. Star Wars Allegiance was a favorite book of mine, and it came about as close as it gets to what you are talking about.

Kind of falling asleep watching the new episode of Kenobi. The fight choreography is pretty bad.

Edit:
Oh no, Tala died. That's...oh I just don't care.
Edit 2:
The duel between Vader and Reva was decent. Does she die in this episode or the next one? Haven't kept up with the leaks.

There is also the Bucketheads fan series that finally put out the latest episode after a long delay. The only downside to it is it takes place after ROTJ and is the Disney canon.

This episode literally had be screaming at the TV at how dumb the writing is.

How obvious everything is. This really feels like it's done by amateurs. Everything is telegraphed in because the writers are dumb.

It's clear Deborah Chow is not up to the task. Her episode on the Mandolorian were clearly mainly directed by Favreau and Filoni in there extreme pre-vis planning of the entire episodes. Something it seems neither Boba or this show had.

The two ships flying to attack the base was not imposing or menacing at all. It's, "is that it?" Then you know they must fly away. Hence the lack of air support.

Storm troopers are still being displayed as retarded.

Reva being all emotional and commanding the troops is not as intimidating as the professional officer class of the originals.

Why didn't Vader go down immediately?

The Reva turn we all knew was coming from the first trailer, was even worse than I expected.

Storm troopers storming the base, dozens just getting shot and falling over while basically, no rebels die. They're smart, they have shields!

The hanger has a breaker box that adults can't access? Well we saw Leia doing mechanic work on the Falcon in TESB. Got to fill that backstory.

When whatever lady was down, they was so cringe and poorly directed with the slow mo and everything. Obi-Wan literally has been in batter with hundreds of people falling dead around him. He would not act like that, even if it was someone he knew.

Why on earth is the plot Reva's plan to take Vader out? There are no stakes in that at all as we know she won't succeed.

Reva literally has been doing what Vader did. She can't be redeemed.

Obi-Wan cracks his communicator to hide message, but doesn't check if it worked? So what, there's no delete option? I'm pretty sure he carries around something that could easily destroy it for good. Just gives it to Kumail Nanjiani, who proceeds to just drop it.

So Vader was good in this, except he did the thing where he does something with the force. The same situation happens seconds later and he doesn't do the same thing again.

We know Reva won't kill Vader no stakes. We also know she won't die because they set up the communicator. So no stakes there either.

They also set up a light sabre through the belly doesn't kill you, but they just leave her to die. Shit tier writing of the lowest order. She immediately looks at the communicator, knows it's important and hence the number one sin that this show should never have allowed is someone finding out about Luke which we all predicted comes true.

Things in this episode made me so angry at how dumb it was.

Of course Anakin has to be more like Filoni’s swashbuckler than George’s well-intentioned version during those flashbacks.

Also, why didn't they even do a simple de-aging pass? If you're doing this, commit to something like Marvel does. Or at least try and lower quality version of getting rid of wrinkles they do on other TV shows these days.

Ewan is fine, because he was aged up in the films, he still looks good and the hair and beard are doing most of the work.

Of-fucking-course. Seems like every fan content creator just want to slob disney's knob either because they don't want to be seen as "sexist" or because they all subscribe to this "one true headcanon" fanwank since they're too in love with Ahsoka and Filoni to let go of Disney since they're the center of the universe now. Imagine having the potential to continue the old setting and improve upon it or even make your own universe, but instead you waste it making more money for Disney who would shut you down in a heartbeat if given the chance.

First it was the SW: Galaxies fan expansions including planets and elements from TFA and TLJ, then the Empire At War mods trying to tie in to Chuck Windbag's shit, SW Theory's fanfilms starting off by giving Vader the same powers as Emo Ren, then the TIE Fighters fan remake replacing anything in the cutscenes with disney counterparts, then it was the Dark Empire animated adaptation tying to tie itself with Plan IX: Rise of Soywalker, then the TK-421 shorts, and now Bucketheads.

Feels like the X-Wing fanfilm is the only one that actively tries to avoid Disney and actually follow the setting where Luke found success, and looking surprisingly great while doing it despite that it looks like it was made by a complete unknown who just showed up out of nowhere a few weeks ago.
Even that canuckfaggot EckhartzLadder had to admit that it was the greatest fanfilm he ever saw, even more so than SWTheory's Vader wank.

Next week, I bet they’ll have Anakin unmasked bitching to Obi Wan about Padmé like “it’s your fault that I lost her” so some other bullshit.

Do you actually think they'll have more than a few scenes of Vader?

Did this count as the second time they fight with Sabres?

The transport needs to get away. No stakes because we know Leia and Ben live.

It has to have some sort of plot of Reva on Tatooine.

We need Leia reunited with her family.

There's too much to waste on Vader. Reva is the main villain.

It's just hilarious to me at this point since I haven't bothered to watch anything of Kenobi other than the few clips posted here and the EFAP videos. How hard was it to just copy Yojimbo with a Star Wars skin? Admittedly I'm beyond sick of Tatooine at this point so that sounds like the one thing Disney did right here - in a setting where the whole thing being on that sandy shithole actually makes sense.

@The Gangster Computer the Star Wars X-Wing fan film still makes the same mistakes of dumbing down the Imperials. FFS the Imperial capital ships or fighters couldn't even shoot down one fucking Rebel/New Republic fighter on screen. I seen even shit tier fan films giving the Imperials the courtesy of letting them shooting down a token handful of fighters before and during the as always Rebel ROFLSTOMP win.

Reva is the main character
Fixed that for you. Its her show. Always was. Its clear they never had any intention of continuing the cancelled Kenobi and Boba projects and abandoned any pretense of adapting their old stories along with them. In the end they just became shows for more Disney and Filoni OCs and they just kept the legacy names around to help sell them and act as door mats and stepping stones for their rise to relevance.

How much do you wanna bet Ahsoka is going to show up in the finale?
We already have that leaked set photo of her facing off against Darth Maul which is either a clip from Kenobi's finale or a clip from her Ahsoka miniseries that's probably a flashback what with Maul being alive and all, unless Filoni is autistic enough to bring Maul back to life again, which he probably will, but the presence of a Filoni Mauldalorian goon being there makes me think its Kenobi. 1655315883506.png

Either way I like how they've devolved Maul further by making him become Ahsoka's archnemesis, even having them face off in the Filoni Wars finale ffs.

With Furloni even drawing her as living inside of Maul's head rent free.

Never heard of I.M.P.S. before. Checked it out. Better than anything Disney can ever make. I guess I should add that book to the list.

I checked out the first ep. Maybe it gets better... or worse? Eh. It's an interesting idea, I'm just tired of female stormtroopers and Disney Wars.

Thanks, frens. Enjoy this classic
