Yeah that's pretty much what happened but the company that claimed the video says they got permission from the guys family. But who really knows.

Also thank you. The video itself is 1 part of it's greatness the other would be the comments and the weird theories that began of so long ago.

Does anyone else watch Trace Evidence Podcast? They're another true crime channel mostly covering unsolved cases, but they're long and listenable. I'll throw one on when I'm doing something else. I appreciate how thorough they are and that I haven't heard of most of the cases.

I gotta disagree-I enjoy videos that cover things like Imscared (although he stupidly separated the name when it's meant to be IMSCARED, lol)
not to mention, his VPN promo is fucking RIDICULOUS

not too bad for background noise, but (the first two stories at least -- i'm still watching) kind of a disappointing selection of stories; one was a nosleep with no conclusion and the second one was also just a weird experience with no conclusion.

I enjoy Trace Evidence as background noise too, but I find myself sometimes getting bored with them, especially when he rambles on -- like in the beginnings when they have too much exposition on the victim.

Haha, how does this shit keep happening to channels that should know better? A few years ago it happened to the ProCrastinators Podcast (and actually to all the channels the guy who fucked up had access to), and not too long ago it happened to a local tech review channel. These hacks are usually done through phishing and such, how does a fucking tech reviewer not know what links he shouldn't click on?

I hope ScareTheater can get it back, but it's still baffling to me how careless people with YT careers are about their passwords and such.

That's a happening and a half. Wonder how much this guy paid for ST's channel.
I'm sure he'll get it back in a while, but I doubt everything was properly archived, which is a shame.

The phishing emails can be really realistic. Even Mark Browning, an advanced computer channel got hacked at one point from an email. Btw I recommend his videos where he trolls scam centers. rip to one of the only good horror channels though.

I could be wrong but I recall when it happened to the PCP, they managed to get YT to reinstate all their videos and such. And as it turned out, they were all a gaggle of fucking retards, so if they managed to get YT to do it for them, ScareTheater probably can, too.
