Great design, great streaming chunk (about an hour, little over), great slot (after work/school) and for as much as holobros want to take it as an attack, she picked up on the hologirls who been mia/started streaming less or were out for medical reasons. Content wise she's really entertaining (and knowing Japanese helps a lot with understanding it) since as said, a lot of Niji oldheads says it reminds them of the earlier days so you have people from basically all ends of the Vtubing spectrum checking her out. When certain hologirls are back to full speed she'll drop off (we already seen the drop off happen) but she'll still be pretty up there in general in terms of strictly Nijisanji speaking.

Not directed at you but it sure sounds like a lot of people are just using menhera to refer to any woman that has expectations, realistic or not, on how relationships should be.

Menhera is one of those overused terms these days you just kinda, stop focusing on when you know it's not being used properly. She's in no way, shape, or form mentally ill, she's just..a woman with shit luck in love lol. Rushia, she is the definition of menhera.

If it helps, her character isn't just being an Ojou-sama. It's being an Otaku hiki hick larping as an Ojou-sama that says and does a lot of freaky shit like openly talking about how she pees and showcasing her gastroscopy photos of her insides.

If she ever has a call-in stream for whatever reason, I would like one of the callers to keep on blasting her with remarks about how lady-like she is, just to see how she would react.

I feel like Hololive actively saying that they won't interfere with your monetization, and that you get a notice from them whenever you have a clip that they're taking issue with(for registered clippers) is one hell of a massive boon up for clippers and viewers. Makes clippers less afraid of getting striked by Cover, and they're basically getting headpats for being good clippers. God bless Depressed Nousagi. Nyfco still has nothing on her, at least based on the last time I've checked. There were rumors of her being an ex-idol in a small group, but just rumors. I don't know moonrunes either, so don't trust me, but from what I can gather the appeal isn't that she's a royal girl per se. Speaking of Aki, I don't know Japanese but I enjoyed her Subnautica streams when I could catch them - I recently played and beat it for the first time so it was kind of neat seeing someone else coming at it with a different approach and learning things. One part that sticks out in my memory was when her underwater base was getting damaged and filling with water, and she couldn't figure out the cause - I was confused by what was going on as well because I thought for sure it had enough HP to handle what she had built, and I think the Japanese bros in chat were similarly confused because she seemed to be trying a bunch of different things, but not once did she seem really flustered and just kept going until she eventually figured it out. That sealed Aki as cool-headed under pressure (no pun intended) in my mind.

Aki is a talent that makes me want to do JP reps, she also pigeonholes herself in games like Choco - straight NPC like. It's a delight when the talent likes the game and so do you plus the content is great. If you don't like the game it's pain- ARK .

Mio might have cried either way but it's been a road for her to get to a million. I hope the other girls like Aki and Choco get there too. It's become a bit of an expectation that doesn't exist in Niji. I think Salome will be viewed like Gura - an outlier. But Myth and later Gen 3 has made it a bit of an expectation for Holos. Still, looking forward to Sora hitting it more then most.

There is no wisdom involved. It's very dumb for numerous pretty obvious reasons that could hurt her cat or the bush baby. Keeping primates of any size is a massive pain in the ass and she will probably end up giving it to a shelter or something in a month or two. You will probably have less damage to your house with a pig as an indoor pet than any size of primate. Yeah, there was generally less fantasy going on, though you still had some going for a more fantastical look, like Nojaloli.

In general the main way I'd describe early vtuber designs would be "idol." Obviously due to the success of Kizuna Ai, Kaguya Luna, Mirai Akari, etc. JK-gumi (Mito, Kaede, and Deron) actually really stood out back in the day because of their plain designs. I remember being interested in them back in 2018 because "regular high school uniform" wasn't (and really still isn't) all that common for vtubers. So I wouldn't really take those Nijisanji members as representative of general vtuber designs from that era, one can see how Mito in particular stands out because of her normality when compared to most of the cast of Virtual-san Looking (which aired from January to March 2019), for example.

IMO a part of Mito's appeal was that she wasn't some high tech idol or something, she's just your weird class rep who eats clovers and likes UFOs.

Since 2018 we've definitely seen an uptick in fantastical designs and also just more polished complicated designs as more artists come into the industry and as l2d & 3d gets better.

Ahh, still think Mito would be helped by having an iconic asset but fair to say her design plainness is iconic itself.
