as crazy as this sounds there were a number of things that happened at BLM protests that made me have similiar suspicious. a lot of crazy stuff I saw online and in person made sense if it was being set up to generate agitprop by fucking boomer and older gen X retards who haven't figured out livestreaming.

Because they were livestreaming. The plan, according to this hypothesis, was to sacrifice some Capitol cops, staffers and maybe a couple Congress members if they were unlucky enough to be around and blame it on MAGA nahtzees. The presence of so many people with cameras gave them cold feet and they canceled the fireworks. Even with all the cameras around, it still might have been possible for them to present the narrative they wanted, but... consider the consequences of failure. It would be like someone capturing indisputable proof of election fraud but even worse for the Dems.

I hate it when politicians ignore a crowd that is booing them, it's disrespectful and cowardly. Man the fuck up and acknowledge the crowd you decrepit old fuck, defend your position that they're mad at you over, you'd get some respect for that

Lemon's gone quisling and is playing ball at the moment with new management (IIRC Tucker Carlson even did a segment recently where he was shocked at Lemon suddenly asking hardball questions to a Biden Admin talking head). Stelter is fucked though; it's been leaked that he's been trying to stir an internal coup against his new boss, especially after the new boss banned all talent from spewing the DNC talking point known as "The Great Lie" on the air. As well as leaking shit to rival DNC affiliated media outlets in hopes of fomenting a media backlash against Discovery and the new top brass over CNN no longer being an apparatus of the DNC carrying Biden's water.

Our modern politicians have grown up in an environment where everything has been focus-group tested and approved, all the way down to adoring crowds who clap and approve of everything you say at rallies. When there's genuine anger among the voters and said voters express it, they don't know how to respond.

Last time I saw something like this was back in 09/10 when some soon to be retired Blue Dog Dem faced an angry town hall over his support for Obamacare.
(I've tried to look for it, but YouTube appears to be curating search results so that only the "approved" type of town hall voter anger comes up - and almost always the video is being carried by CNN).

To add: a more specific version of this hypothesis is that there was a "radical right-wing group" - actually a team of duped morons led by a glowie instigator - who were planning some kind of mayhem in the Capitol. Their handler had been working on them for a long time, ginning them up for violence. The cops were supposed to let only this group of people into the Capitol but some wires got crossed, maybe someone's instructions got paraphrased by a diversity hire, and they ended up letting everyone into the building.

When the dupes got inside, they found it wasn't full of evil feds like their handler told them, but other pro-Trump protesters, who they identified as "our people." They didn't want to start an attack that would claim the lives of docile Republican boomers and the handler slunk away fuming that his hard work was ruined and now he'd never get his promotion to department head.

no charges and was rescued 3 times from local police

There were people videotaping and recording all over the place before anyone stepped foot into the capital. What difference does it make if they kill some cops, staffers and maybe some Congress members, or if they kill some cops, staffers, maybe some Congress members and random Trump supporters? If anything, having Trump supporters in there would do nothing but help their case, since then people could more easily claim that the shooters were fellow Trump supporters who also stormed (going with the DNC talking points) the building.

For the record, I'm not trying to be combative, just what I was thinking you meant at first made no sense to me, so thanks for the clarification.

Similar but IMO more plausible theory - the glowies and Dems are high on their own supply when it comes to "white males are the most dangerous derps in the derp" rhetoric. They figured if you get enough angry redhats in one place and push them a bit, fires, beatings, and murders are sure to follow. After all, it works with blacks, why not with MAGA people? They may have also memed themselves into believing that the Proud Boys are a right-wing, more dangerous version of Antifa, so again, a little bit a of a cop nudge, and the truly violent nature of the right will show itself and take its natural course.

Problem was, conservatives just aren't that rowdy.

Cornyn is the last of the cakewalk republican seats, and you're seeing it here. He's always been a WASP RINO, it was 2020, lockdowns meant he didn't have a real primary, and won greater support by being the less obnoxious republican choice than Donny Two Scoops, the usual RINO talking point of "he did better than Trump in 2020" (Trump won TX 52-46 and Cornyn won his seat 53-45). But he's McConnell's right or left hand man, he's apparently very nasty in terms of caring about DC, and waits for consensus before glomming onto the winner.

He's not going to win in '26, he's not even trying to be like Cruz and feign being MAGA, it's a matter of beating him down, making him be a fag and transform into a Romney to complete a '26 annihilation or make him too scared to do anything and sit out the rest of his time on the back bench.

God do I wish there would be a gym bro in congress or the senate who just basically asks everyone if they wanna fight and to put their twitter mouths in the ring. Watch how quick Sassy Ben Sasse stops trying to be the cool kid sitting on capitol steps in his gym clothes while he "raps" to the other side, Bring back bullying.

Biden is doing such a fantastic job that oil markets puked today even though gasoline is still at an all time high. So we've managed to both not fix the problem and make things actively worse; we're importing heavy crude, they're discussing gas rebate cards and a halt on exports, and the Freeport LNG plant that's supposed to be supplying Europe suddenly said "yeah you know how we were supposed to go live in 90 days, we're not shipping shit through September".

Supply ships suddenly have nothing to ship and stores are going to have to discount a bunch of items that suddenly nobody wants. Another day in Biden's America!

Also, official retroactive recession declaration only two weeks away, Prepare for blameshifting!
