I didn't do anything clever like you, but essentially sent them a MATI message before removing that crap - same with the gay bridge wallpaper on startup. I know corporate is going to corporate and that our messages probably mean nothing but I'm just curious what these corporations think when they get backlash. Do they not think they're going to turn off even the mildly conservative? I fully embrace that gay people are part of our society, but I don't want to celebrate them, I don't want to celebrate ethnic groups, I don't want to celebrate divisive issues, even if it's something I like or agree with. It's not appropriate, and should never be assumed or compulsory. A pop-up window asking if I want to fag up my desktop for the month would have been an adequate compromise.
