Go look up PlanetJeff's dox. Dude was making 6 figures as a city engineer and is (as far as we know) single after his wife died a few years back. He could absolutely be sending Phil that much without it affecting his bottom line.

I completely agree with you that these people are DEEPLY unwell. A lot of Phil’s fans act like little kids on a playground poking each other with sticks but this shit is actually serious and has a very dark side (hehe). I think that PlanetJeff is actually the type that would end up violently killing themselves or committing some other sort of unhinged act. Phil is obviously not in need, and he is VERY OBVIOUSLY a piece of shit human. No sane, well adjusted, healthy individual would give him money. These teenagers like Swaggins and OIC think this is a game but they’re gonna be in for a shock when they understand the company they’re with.

I might remember this wrong but I think 1MM only become a thing after the planetjeff doxx/twitter incident, so its possible instead of him sending a thousand a time, he does this daily to avoid outing himself again.

There was Jasper 2K where PlanetJeff gave over $1k to Phil (and egged on everyone about it, along with Phil poorly hiding that he was delaying tips so other paypigs would pony up), he was doxed soon after and freaked out with Phil making a scene about it. Soon after that 1MM and various other names "behind duh scenes" started with Phil admitting to people tipping him directly via Paypal.

This is why many assume 1MM is Jeff. All the behaviors from Phil and this hidden person fit.

oh, well by that logic, why does phil have any slow days at all? why are some streams 25/150? why let that happen and take that hit to his ego if he could just make a number up and slap it on there?

we all know the most important thing to phil is ego, so if he has no problem with slapping phantom money up there to try and cajole some more out of people, why not? by your logic if the nigga really only made 34$/150, why not slap another phantom 80 on there?

he believes all of those things you listed because he's a narcissistic idiot who will believe anything to protect his ego, but here's what you've missed, he doesn't have to do ANYTHING for that.

500 people give him subs, why does he care if it's 500 individuals or 100 individuals and 400 fake accounts, you think he gives a shit to check? no, of course not. he just believes whatever works best for his ego because he has no further work to do in order to do that.

what you are suggesting is that he is KNOWINGLY inflating his own numbers, by himself, just to say he's such a cool dude. he wouldn't put that work in, he only loves lying to himself when he doesn't -exactly- know the truth.

Didn't he play it for 5 minutes, got lost and wagequit? I think his short time playing Hollow Knight is where he got the idea that Metroidvania games are not good streaming content.

I can make the argument that a good streamer/entertainer makes anything fun to watch regardless of what it is, and it's how I handle my own shit. I talk a lot about my thought process when playing RPGs and making builds or generally waffling about story shit and the few people that watch seem to like it. Phil somehow has the ability to make even the most interesting thing incredibly boring to behold. People point out that the TMNT playthrough is pathetic because Phil has no friends and had to play the game solo, but I know a fair few streamers who could play TMNT solo and make it an interesting and fun experience for the audience.

Just off on a tangent here, but one of the reasons why Phil is regarded as a terrible streamer, aside from his antagonistic attitude toward the audience, is his absolute refusal of new ideas and complete lack of intellectual curiosity. If your chat is talking about the new Obi-Wan series, for example, and you don't give a shit about Star Wars, there are a few ways you can handle it. You can make up your own plot for what the show is about and make it obvious you haven't seen it but still have a fun time crafting a goofy narrative, express a passing interest in what's going on and ask open-ended questions about whether this should be something you personally should watch, or talk about your personal opinion and history with the franchise to keep the conversation Star Wars related even if you personally do not care about the Obi-Wan show. What Phil instead does is tell his chat to shut up because he has not and will not watch it. We talk all the time about how he feels his chat is there to entertain him, but nothing speaks volumes to that more than his shutting down of any topics that are not something he is personally interested in...which is very little considering how little culture he exposes himself to.

As @Piece of Peace said, we do have evidence that 1MM did exist at some point and would watch and send money to Phil. If we want to work on the narrative that Phil is tipping himself, he more than likely pulled a name out of a hat of someone who doesn't stop by anymore and just wrote it down. So you can say that 1MM at some point did exist, but he's no longer there so Phil just uses the name to tip himself.

Doody did one thing right and that's explain the purpose of priming. If Phil is 1MM, he is priming his audience. It's a psychological tactic to get people to give you money when they otherwise would not have. For example, if you're a barista at a small coffee shop and you. have a tip jar, you might take a few singles out of your wallet to put in the jar to make it look like you're offering good service to a new customer and that it is expected that you tip for such service in this establishment. Suddenly that 3 dollars you put in the jar adds up to 20 over the course of a few hours. So by fake tipping himself, Phil is trying to tell his audience that they should be tipping as well for the content he's providing...on top of him directly telling them that they should be tipping for the content he's providing.

He's using the three pronged tactic of subliminal, liminal, and superliminal messaging.

Okay. Once and for all. Phil will not prime. Phil has no fucking foresight. No fucking concept of psychology. Phil will demand people auto renew his shit. And scream about suing companies for *daring* to take his money unprompted. Nothing. In 10+ years of Phillip Burnells incredibly archived career suggests he would ever. Ever. Take the road of spending money on himself. Or even allowing his fucking dents a goddamn break. If he has 98/100 on his goal. And someone tips him $1.99. That goal becomes 99/100.

You know. I know it. We all know it. We have seen it happen. In what world, does that man also bump up $25? He doesn't.

He won't pay the money. He won't pretend the money. This is like assuming OPL will fucking do some work to trick you into shit. Its not true. And we have such mountains of evidence of the their character, that we fucking know.
