Not really. I try telling some of my more woke friends, DC will write whatever shit they need to write to appeal to younger demographics, comic sales have been on a nosedive for a decade now. If Al-Qaeda was popular and culturally accepted to some marginal degree with 16-30 year olds, Simon Baz (Muslim Green Lantern) would be blowing up government buildings on every issue. The only colour they give a fuck about is green.

This ideological stuff and it's cultural impact has placed DC in a precarious position, though. Ezra is clearly mentally unstable but they can't afford to cancel his Flash movies, if it isn't because they've put too much money into it it's because they're aware he's crazy enough to start a lawsuit on the basis of discrimination. Despite his behavior justifying termination, the court of public opinion would scorch their sales. The best thing they can do is just run out his contract and never contact him again.

They could very well still shelve if it makes the most financial sense. movie cost $150 million to $200 million, once you start adding extra costs on to get to a break even point of around $400 million it could be worth shelving if it losses them more than the budget of the movie. If they put it on HBO Max they could write off the budget but that would mean buying actors out of contracts and may condition the public to expect Flash as a streaming only hero.

At the minute you are right, Most people are expecting WB to do a last minute reshoot to end with a new version/new actor to take over in the last scene as a result of the Flash time fuckary but depending on how the Ezra Miller stuff turns out that band aid won't work, if he kills himself or that girl the movie is done for even as a HBO Max original write off.

Sadly WB/DC are thinking business wise rather than moral point of view, but have to admit this super fascinating because nothing like this has happened before with an actor currently in the leading role of a upcoming blockbuster, only thing that comes close to few claims against Ansel Elgort a year before West Side Story came out but that was just two random twitter posters and seems to have mostly blown over.

To be fair to Warner Bros. He was cast for this movie 8 years ago in 2014 before most of this shit with him started. He wasn't "nonbinary" or any of that nonsense yet.

According to court documents filed Tuesday in Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Court and obtained by PEOPLE, attorney and activist Chase Iron Eyes and his pediatrician wife Sara Jumping Eagle claim that Miller, now 29, has been manipulating and controlling their daughter Tokata Iron Eyes since the two met at Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota back in 2016. They say Miller "took an immediate and apparently innocent liking" to Tokata at the time.

TMZ was first to report on the filing.

The parents allege Miller gave Tokata alcohol and drugs like marijuana and LSD as a teen and exhibited a "pattern of corrupting a minor."

Chase and Sara said in the documents that Miller, through the Quiet organization with which the actor was affiliated, offered to pay for Tokata to attend college early at 16 at Bard College at Simon's Rock in Massachusetts. Miller "would later use this against Tokata to create a sense of indebtedness," the parents say in the documents.

Tokata dropped out of school in December. Their parents say they then traveled to Miller's home in Vermont in January, finding that Tokata didn't have their driver's license, bank cards or keys, preventing Tokata from leaving on their own accord.
