Our user types are so similar to yours. You guys go around looking for people to laugh at and make fun of, where our forum is more the users laughing at and making fun of each other, but I see that you guys have that here as well.

In the end, you are a online community of individuals who have spent some time together, who have gotten to know each other, and developed casual friendships. It's the same for all Humans, we cannot define the self without other so we socialize, share, and build relationships, and through them know who we are. It's the beauty of forums because you can have all the conveniences of a relationship without any of the inconveniences such as having to answer their calls, do therm favors, spend time with them, or even live near them. Web communities such as these are the future of a large majority of Human social lives.

But this forum isn't just free relationships between members. It's policed by an army of moderators, who, though they may seem friendly and self-depreciating-- when their feelings really get hurt, I bet they are quick to ban, and with so many members, why would Null care if a couple people get unrightfully banned a day? It's not hurting his traffic numbers.

Kiwi Farms should do away with rules, cut 90% of your moderators, just keep out spam and illegal stuff, and then see real Humanity, this is a place for entertainment, laughs, and cheap distraction, there is no reason to be so authoritarian.

Nope. We like our mods where they are, they do a pretty good job of keeping things in order and less shit. Your attempts to change things aren't really going to make a difference.

You only get banned for doing stupid stuff, and even that can be pretty hard. If they weren't here, I'm pretty sure the forum would be worse than it already is.

You're really misjudging the mods before you even get to know them. They have their positions for a reason. As autistic as it sounds, this website takes it's community very seriously, and respect is earned, not given to asspatters and people who manage to fit into cliques. The mods have their positions because they're the most calm and level-headed people here. I've been in quite a few communities, ones with lots of mods and no mods, tyrannical mods and mods that have never banned anyone in their life, and mods that were personal friends of mine. So I speak from experience when I say, this place is actually pretty impressive and mature, given it's size.

Also I wouldn't even say this place has rules, more like guidelines, like "don't powerlevel" and "no trolling plans" which are there for a reason. I'd say the only real rule is the unspoken rule of how much you should shitpost, but, if you shitpost too much for anyone to tolerate you probably are an actual nuisance.

Never seen an issue of ban-happy mods amongst the Kiwis. Granted I'm new, but from what I can tell, the general policy is they'll only really ban someone when they start acting like an autistic, whiny twat full of stupid - and that may not always happen. But mods are here for at least one good, persistent reason.

Due to the nature of these forums, Kiwi Farms attracts quite a bit of sperging hate spewing from the likes of Nick Bate, Ahuviya, and many more. People who are rather reprehensible and lacking Internet common sense, thinking it's a good idea to step inside here and get autistic in our faces. If we didn't have someone (or someones) stepping in and policing the absolute bullshit that tries to flood, we likely wouldn't have much of a forum to visit.

Unrelated note: Absolut Autism sounds like it'd make a hilarious ad.

This community is so docile and supportive of it's staff. I didn't know you could have a community who is so outwardly aggressive and cold toward unfortunate, ignorant, tortured souls it chooses to bully, and victimize-- yet be so loving and respectful to each other, and forum superiors.

It is a big difference I think. We despise authority. The fact that there are locked threads on this forum with no explanation as to why is even a concern. That's censorship. It's these small uses of power, just like all the accounts from SC that were banned yesterday, that tells me moderators are free to censor, and basically rule this place as they see fit.

No one questions them, or complains? Perhaps dissenters aren't banned, perhaps they are driven out.

It's spooky, but perhaps you guys are an older lot, and a bit more docile in your older ages, a bit more willing to embrace a master in exchange for their protection.
