If my teeth looked like that? Yes. There is no saving at that point.Poor people in the UK used to do just that, and get a set of dentures.
Would you sign up to get your teeth pulled?

I'd go the denture route. I can't imagine the pain from the tooth infections that those people are likely to have.Poor people in the UK used to do just that, and get a set of dentures.

Iv given birth, tooth infections are up there in the pain department. Excruciating.I'd go the denture route. I can't imagine the pain from the tooth infections that those people are likely to have.
The aesthetics aside? Toothaches hurt like a motherfucker ( probably poor word choice considering Cheri).
Same. That pain can be up there with labor. Unrelenting and tormenting.Iv given birth, tooth infections are up there in the pain department. Excruciating.
I’d rather give birth with no meds. At least with birth there’s an end in sight. With tooth pain, and not being able to book an appointment til months later…fuck that noise.Same. That pain can be up there with labor. Unrelenting and tormenting.
Trips to the dentist are so expensive too.I’d rather give birth with no meds. At least with birth there’s an end in sight. With tooth pain, and not being able to book an appointment til months later…fuck that noise.
This is probably because I live in the opiate belt, but I’m not that old and I already know several people my age that have dentures.I'll never understand if your teeth are that fucked why not just pull them all?
Opiod users are notorious for bad teeth. The craving for sugar and apathy towards hygiene added with dry mouth can cause havoc there. I live close to a methadone clinic and have seen some frightful dental issues. This is probably because I live in the opiate belt, but I’m not that old and I already know several people my age that have dentures.
Partials are expensive, implants are even more so, and Medicaid doesn’t cover getting them all pulled until they reach a certain point.
Like a “you still have 13 teeth but they all have cavities and 4 root canals are needed” may or may not get someone approved for dentures.
Then if someone fits that criteria, Medicaid will pay for dentures.
There’s also a way around it by going to university dental clinics for people who have no insurance, but that takes longer.
It’s so goddamn depressing when I see another person I went to school with fucking dentures, but I get it.
It’s better than letting their teeth rot inside their head if things are at that point.
I'll add this to my list. I only wish I knew of some fucked up tales to tell with you, friends. As I've said before, this thread has the broadest spectrum of intellectual inquiry on this entire site.
From chronicling the abysmally depressing, disordered, dumb-ass denizens of "Sammieverse Junction"...to the brilliant and insightful reviews and recommendations offered up in our "Dystopian Derelict's University of Misery, School of Hard Knocks Book and Movie Club"...this thread has everything.
Most intriguing, innit?
If you liked "Knockemstiff" and the format of loosely-connected storyline shorts, you might also enjoy "Crimes in Southern Indiana: Stories" by Frank Bill.

And...please, do keep the book suggestions coming, Frens.![]()
Yes but teeth pulling is cheaper, and they probably are on medicaid.Trips to the dentist are so expensive too.
I dunno... if it's a competition, Sammie is desperately trying to catch up. The sexual stuff she posts is just revolting.Goddamn she's gross.
Not Kim gross, but definitely gross.
I'm not trying to be fresh, but that first thing looks like a mongloid. The third? Someone is not happy with their grandmother's life choices. The obsession with the Confederate flag will always crack me up.
Some gems from his Facebook group.

I thought the same thing. Why would anyone want to be reminded of their rapist daddy?I was wondering if the laughing/smiling was some kind of tic. He was pretty awkward though, At least the golden child punky was no longer around, if Cheri was scared of him, I’m sure he was quite pleasant.
It weirded me out that she wanted to go by Sugar Babe knowing that her pervert dad gave her the name.
I love this. I feel like the humor in it almost make you forget these people are total shitbags as well. I’ll never forget seeing those chicks snorting pills in the hospital room after the baby was born or that little boy yelling “Darrell’s this‘Wild and wonderful Whites of West Virginia‘ is another great hillbilly life doc. Free on Tubi
Seen the Whites. Wild, yes. Wonderful? Maybe not. That bunch gave me shivers.I love this. I feel like the humor in it almost make you forget these people are total shitbags as well. I’ll never forget seeing those chicks snorting pills in the hospital room after the baby was born or that little boy yelling “Darrell’s this” Tubi has some pretty good documentaries for being free!
Fun fact Jesco was on the ending credits of a Roseanne episode
If anyone has any other hillbilly/white trash books or documentaries to recommend , I’ll glad take them!

I’ve heard of that but never seen it, I’ll have to give that a try!“Brother’s Keeper” is a pretty amazing documentary.
I love podcasts, especially true crimeIf you like podcasts, "True Crime Obsessed" is a good one. It's a funny true crime documentary recap. They've covered several that have been mentioned in this thread.
Oh, "Morbid: A True Crime Podcast" is my other go-to. It's a funny one as well. And a limited series one that was really interesting was "Missing on 9/11". Oh, and "Disgraceland". Last two aren't funny ones, definitely more serious. I like the funny ones better, myself.I’ve heard of that but never seen it, I’ll have to give that a try!
