If Mama Dance is going to get her own thread, the sooner the better. This has only just started and we've covered nearly 20 pages in the last week alone. Looking back over the Alfie Evans timeline, the judge ruled that he should have treatment stopped on 20th February 2018 and it wasn't until over 2 months later on the 23rd April that his life support was finally removed. It was in the last few weeks that things got crazy with the hospital protests, visits to the Vatican etc. I hope Hollie has checked her passport is valid, because I'm expecting her to get an invite to visit the Pope and kiss his ring any day now.

I also feel like we should be talking about Ella Carter's involvement in all this (see also the screenshots a few posts above). Ella is Archie's half brother's fiancé. In the early interviews, Hollie mentioned that it was Ella who said they shouldn't allow the brain stem testing to go ahead as this would mean he could be declared dead. Ella seems to have been the self appointed spokesperson for the family in court, according to the court documents. In one interview it was said that Ella is currently studying law. Given this family's propensity for lies, this probably means she once met with the duty solicitor while she was in custody. Ella has appeared alongside Hollie in several of the TV interviews but only really spoke to make sure Hollie was sticking to the agreed story. She now seems to be the family's media co-ordinator.

ETA - Ella is currently the named person on Archie's biggest fund raising page that has just under £26k in it right now. "The money will be withdrawn directly into my account and then moved to the organisation’s account in question." 💰

I'm not surprised the judge has granted them leave to appeal. I would if I were her given the media attention this case is getting. It's the judicial version of getting someone to check your homework - if three other judges also agree with her decision then there's less opportunity for the rabble to blame her (although I'm sure they still will try)

The Schiavo case went up and down in the state and federal courts for over a decade with something like a dozen judges looking at it, all reaching the same conclusion, idiotic legislative interventions, and Senator Bill Frist (an actual doctor) claiming she was alive and responsive (her skull was more or less filled with fluid and calcified crap).

Thankfully bongland courts don't run to that many levels. They're approaching the endgame, but we could have another couple of weeks of this.

Terri's case was much less straightforward than Archie or Jahi's, because she breathed on her own (couldn't swallow, though, hence the feeding tube) and still had all her brainstem reflexes. She postured, maintained her primitive startle reflex, and could even track things with her eyes. I remember that her father in particular was very convinced that Terri was "in there" and actively responding to commands, while in reality she functioned on the developmental level of a newborn. It's unclear whether she could perceive pain, but there are unsettling videos of her groaning and whimpering as if she really was in some kind of discomfort.

My Archie theory- he was a deeply unhappy child with behavioural difficulties that stemmed from his upbringing, ADHD and likely mental illness. He was likely engaging with the ‘dark side‘ of Tiktok, at best his tiktok handle, a play on ‘porn hub‘ implies this. If he was been allowed unfettered access to the internet god knows what other age inappropriate materials he was accessing.
Archie wasn’t suicidal, he didn‘t intend on causing serious or lasting damage to himself, after all there are 1000s of adults, often in their early 20 who survive ‘suicide attempts‘ every other week on tiktok. The difference between these adults and Archie is that they know what’s actually dangerous and what isn’t-a promptly treated paracetamol overdose will be rewarded with a 2 day hospital stay and is unlikely to cause death, but that you probably want to avoid ligatures and most certainly a suspended ligature.
When sister ignored him the first time around, he decided to ratchet things up.

I 100% believe that Ella could be a law student, law isn’t a prestigious subject, universities ask for as low as CDD at A-Level. Ella placing herself into quasi legal role and bragging about it online shows how quite frankly thick she is, second year law students are a million miles off being actual legal practitioners. It’s called the Dunning Kruger effect.

There's been a couple of mentions of scuffle marks where he had kicked his feet. Maybe he changed his mind halfway. Maybe he thought he would be able to get his mums attention.
