Youtube-dl is fucked for youtube and hasn't been updated in a while. Cool kids are using yt-dlp now.Does youtube-dl still work for ripping YT vids? I remember reading something about how it doesn't rip vids right, and I'm not sure if it'd be compatible with editing using something like OBS as it's been awhile.
But I'm thinking of firing up editing software to do a supercut of Andy being a douche on the last episode. He's so bad he's inspiring me to possibly even make videos.
If you get FFMPEG installed theres a command line switch you can use with yt-dlp to download best audio, best video and merge/convert to standard MP4 as opposed to fucking garbage-ass webm format. It's what I use whenever a good youtube-channel pops up that is for sure not going to survive very long.
edit: this is more advice for macfags and linuxspergs, no idea if/how the whole ffmpeg thing works in windoze.
