Other than the batshit being even more off the charts I don't see this going as well for Manson as it went for Depp. Manson probably has a lot more unsavory laundry to air than Depp did.
Understatement of the century. It was discussed a while back in the A&H, thread but both Manson and his ex are cluster B train wrecks so some of the allegations seem to have merit and some are clearly lies for victimhood clout. Evan Rachel Wood and Amber Heard are both poster girls for Borderline Personality Disorder, but unlike Depp, the plaintiff in this case is a violent junkie that wrote a near 10 minute murder fantasy song about her, made a music video with spliced in clips of a fake snuff film where he beats a look a like to death in a hotel bathroom, and made it explicitly clear in interviews exactly who this shit was about. I can't see him winning if any of that shit is shown to a jury. Any youtuber stupid enough to try and blindly simp for Manson will probably regret it.
This assessment is accurate, but TUG seems like the type to white wash anyone to fit his agenda. I don't see him supporting Cosby because society has decided Cosby is guilty and that will get him no benefit, but pretending Manson is another Johnny so he can get more views and hope to be mentioned in court again? I can see that.
I know very little about this case except that Evan Rachel Wood on a scale 0-batshit is around 20 Ambers worth and everybody who knows Manson IRL thinks he's just misunderstood cuddly bear. But exactly similar doubts were raised at the beginning of JD/AH case, especially when he lost UK, so we'll see. The biggest hurdle will be, I guess, that Mason's case is not in Virginia and he'd been SLAPPed twice already and the hearings are late December or something, so very little to milk.

Isn't this the man who staged a fake-snuff video involving a groupie who may or may not have been an actress with content so vile that his manager told him to never share it with anyone or he'd go to prison, and the one guy who he did share it with besides that was like 'yeah, no, it's pretty messed up'?
The issue with Manson, compared to JD, is that he created frankly off putting staged persona and people not knowing him IRL do blend the persona with the person. So while I don't know him, I can see how he would use any piece of rumour to his advantage to further that persona and until Woods it worked for him and his career well. This might be the biggest hurdle for him to overcome with any jury, he's just not likeable. And honestly I have no idea about what he did or didn't do past his first few years after I grew out of him when my phase of rebellious teenager wore of.
You're thinking like a farmer, not Depp loving cat lady who doesn't know all of this and actively blocks anything unsavoury TUG does. He admitted to them he deletes everything regularly so people cannot look it up and they applaud foe being smart. Deppheads don't have critical thinking bone in their body when it comes to JD and any dissent is severely punished. They shunned Nick Wallis for being a proper jurno because he dared to speak to Amber stan and wasn't biased enough towards Depp. Laura Brockov, Jax, Christina Pykles who are the OGs are very luberal with block button and everybody follows and they were doxed themselves by Amber stans and weirdly enough jurnos.
The case isn't about him going to Canada tho. And I said, his biggest hurdle will be to prove that Marylin Manson is an artistic persona who doesn't reflect Brian Hugh Warner's behaviour.
Doesn't matter, he has a history of violence. You should read up as to why the guy punched him for. Though I guess Brian going to a Denny's to try and pick up someone's girlfriend for sex is okay with you.

If you've seen him in any of his relatively straight interviews out of persona, he actually is likeable. He'll just have a serious uphill climb considering the jury is going to see probably as much video of him acting like a complete psycho in persona as the defendant can possibly get in.
If your persona is edgy possible rapist-murderer it's kind of hard to convince a jury that you've been harmed by someone calling you a rapist, I feel. I'm not saying it's not possible to be harmed by such a claim, as he clearly must have been if he's motivated to sue, but convincing a jury is harder. And when everyone knows you as a total psychopath with infamous pseudo-snuff films that are too graphic to be released and self-admitted gang rape stories, it's gonna be hard to convince people that you're actually super wholesome in person. I am the average person who knows barely anything about Manson and has never had any interest in him. I'm telling you that if I were on the jury it would be extremely hard to convince me that he's a cuddly bear who would never hurt anyone. I have no idea what the accusations are, though, because I have no interest in Manson. Maybe the accusations are so extreme and ridiculous that they are on their own just really hard to believe.
We don't disagree. I said, convincing jury that Manson is only persona and human underneath is a cuddly bear will be the hardest part. I used to be a fan like 20 years ago, currently aboslute normie and I didn't know any of those things about Manson until people here started bringing them up. I purposefuly do not read about him or Evan too much as people to have fresh eyes if the court allows transmision of this case too.
Honestly, even at 15 when he was at his most popular I was aware that Marylin Manson is a brand and is all fake. I avoid now majority of coverage, but saw few interviews with his friends and it seems he is exactly like Depp in that regard- he can keep long life friends from various circles, who authentically love him. This speak a lot about him as a person.
