I'm thinking in my head that this administration would be the beginning of the end for the Democrats. By that, I mean that it would turn the country red for the foreseeable future. Of course, with social media NOW, they would need that pull.

That's going to be hilarious, watching the Biden Admin trying to convince everyone why we need to ensure Africans and Central Americans have cheap food when bread is $10 a loaf and only available on a day of the month that ends with the last number of your SSN (Unless you're on gibs, then you just get it delivered by a butler and a free blowjob)

They'll try the "Your racist for not giving all of our food away" and find out people are getting to the point where they just go "OK, and?"

After the comments here about exports it reminded me of something. There's apparently a possible shortage of rice in the US. The number 2 rice producing state in the US is California where much of it heads for ships bound for Asia, And 50% of the US crop is exported every year. Interestingly about 14% of US consumption is imported. Which means even with problems we're in a good position if we didn't export as much.... So, yep, we're screwed.

They're dumb enough to grow almonds in a place where they have to import water. California shouldn't be trusted to govern itself. They should probably be growing amaranth instead of rice but I guess commiefornians will eat any "exotic" food except that for some reason. Amaranth leafs are really good sauteed with some garlic and shallots. Those things will grow pretty much anywhere too.

They grow almonds, of course they grow rice. Oroville reservoir has a diversion dam that sends some of the outflow into a shallow pool to warm up the water specifically for irrigating rice.

The Republicans have no message or agenda. The whole point of the party is to do nothing. The Democrats will, at some point, figure out that "kids should be allowed to get sex changes, and food isn't important," isn't a winning message, and they'll swap it out for one that wins elections.

No, WE don't eat California rice. THEY eat California rice. We eat foreign rice. And they eat foreign rice. Everybody eats food from someone else's country and when you do this it means you have a good economy! Eating and using what you produce is bad for the economy because then you wouldn't have as much trade.

You have to understand that global trade is the backbone of our democracy and without it we'd be ruled by farmers and engineers with large families and strong morals. That's not democracy, that's a return to Hitlerism!
