The Most Popular Game You've Never Played

I was talking to some gamer friends and I mentioned Hotline Miami. To my surprise, none of them had played it, and only about half of the group knew of the game at all.

What are some popular games you've not played (or barely played) and why?

Closest thing would be Witcher 3. I've played it, just I barely got past the tutorial.

And that'd be because I wanted to slit my throat every second of it. From the terrible voice-work to the bland as bread gameplay, all potrayed by the most unlikable group of cunts I've ever seen.

Also, Starcraft, cus I don't like RTS.

Same. Last console I bought was a PS3 when they were being sold off at a discount, so I never got around to getting the good exclusives like Uncharted. Of course, I also missed games on later consoles like Breath of the Wild and Bloodbourne.

The classic Ratchet and Clank games. I never had a PS2 growing up and my only experience with the series was the 2016 game that I downloaded from PS now which did not impress me at all; I didn't even finish it. I know eventually I'd like to give the original PS2 games a chance but that PS4 game really left a sour taste.

The most popular game most of us have never played is probably FIFA. I'd guess it's the best-selling video game franchise overall, because it's the most popular sport in the world, and the kind of people who post on forums about video games aren't the type to be into FIFA.

I have never played a Final Fantasy Game. I've played Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger, which are the FF adjacent games, but none of the actual ones.

I've never played a single Grand Theft Auto game. That was THE no-no game when I was a kid. Once I became an adult, I had no interest in playing it because I liked Saints Row more.

Skyrim. Even a decade+ later I'm still hearing about it, and it still has the most mods on nexus to this day.

Any Zelda game, technically. I tried to play a little bit of "Breath of the Wild" but it was so fucking boring and repetitive that I stopped after about thirty minutes or so.

Also goes for the Mario games too. Boring. Repetitive. Literally every single Mario game ever made is comparable to one another. Pass.

WoW, Starcraft, DOTA, Fortnite, OW, FNaF, Among Us, God of War series, PUBG, CSGO(?), Terraria, Roblox, the Diablo series, Tomb Raider, Uncharted, FarCry, Hotline Miami, Metal Gear, Mass Effect, Quake, and I'm pretty sure a lot more.

I would put Skyrim, The Witcher 3, Undertale and Minecraft, but I did play them for like 5 minutes.
