Idiot, you don't press charges. An individual can't press charges. They file complaints, the police investigate, they send their findings to the Crown DA's for review with a recommendation on if they think a crime has occurred and if there is enough evidence to bring it to court. The cops don't even have to send their findings to the Crown if they determine no wrongdoing happened. The Crown could decline to press charges because there's not enough evidence or they don't believe a crime occurred. You have no power or say in any of it. You don't control anything. With as much time you spend in a court room, how do you not know this?
