Wuhan Coronavirus / COVID-19 Thread 2: Booster Shot - Resume all Corona sperging here.

Unsure if this or the monkeypox thread is best for this but > Polio found in UK, gov declares 'national incident' - the article mentions it potentially coming from a 'live virus vaccine' (from someone outside the country), warns about vaccine-delivered poliovirus from older vaccines, and there is a push to get 3-14 year olds vaccinated; so is this a genuine concern, nothingburger media panic, or more predictive programming getting people used to constant vaccines or new/recurring diseases?

She was my favorite Covid lunatic to follow. Pretty sure one of her followers was the final report that got me permabanned because I was dunking on her when she posted pics of her looking like a scarecrow. Would not be shocked if the insane asylum rumor was true.

Another Covid lunatic but more grifter is
Diana Zicklin Berrent (@dianaberrent). She too had the P-100 respirator profile pic like Lunatic Laura but Berrent had the decency to wash her hair and make it a glamor shot. Her e-begging for money and getting nothing always cracks me up.
Oh I have Berrent and many others on my own private "Covid Lunatic List." I make sure not to interact in anyway. I do like some accounts that refute their insane ramblings, but there is a blockparty app that will automatically block anyone who retweets or likes a tweet or reply selected...

From a quick read around, it seems Polio does crop up occasionally amongst immigrant populations, who are mostly vaccinated with the oral polic vaccine - a live attenuated virus vaccine that has the occasional side effect of causing partial or total paralysis. It doesn't usually infect others all that well, but tends to show up in sewage because the body is excreting the live vaccine for a while after vaccination. I'd guess this is the media and political class jumping at shadows, after training themselves to see every speck of dirt and warm air as a new existential threat.

Well, this is not good.

COVID-19 is primarily known as a respiratory disease caused by SARS-CoV-2. However, neurological symptoms such as memory loss, sensory confusion, severe headaches, and even stroke are reported in up to 30% of cases and can persist even after the infection is over (long COVID). These neurological symptoms are thought to be produced by the virus infecting the central nervous system, however we don’t understand the molecular mechanisms triggering them. The neurological effects of COVID-19 share similarities to neurodegenerative diseases in which the presence of cytotoxic aggregated amyloid protein or peptides is a common feature. Following the hypothesis that some neurological symptoms of COVID-19 may also follow an amyloid etiology we identified two peptides from the SARS-CoV-2 proteome that self-assemble into amyloid assemblies. Furthermore, these amyloids were shown to be highly toxic to neuronal cells. We suggest that cytotoxic aggregates of SARS-CoV-2 proteins may trigger neurological symptoms in COVID-19.

And neither is this:

Introduction: In 2020, prior to COVID-19 vaccine rollout, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations and Brighton Collaboration created a priority list, endorsed by the World Health Organization, of potential adverse events relevant to COVID-19 vaccines. We leveraged the Brighton Collaboration list to evaluate serious adverse events of special interest observed in phase III randomized trials of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines.

Methods: Secondary analysis of serious adverse events reported in the placebo-controlled, phase III randomized clinical trials of Pfizer and Moderna mRNA COVID-19 vaccines (NCT04368728 and NCT04470427), focusing analysis on potential adverse events of special interest identified by the Brighton Collaboration.

Results: Pfizer and Moderna mRNA COVID-19 vaccines were associated with an increased risk of serious adverse events of special interest, with an absolute risk increase of 10.1 and 15.1 per 10,000 vaccinated over placebo baselines of 17.6 and 42.2 (95% CI -0.4 to 20.6 and -3.6 to 33.8), respectively. Combined, the mRNA vaccines were associated with an absolute risk increase of serious adverse events of special interest of 12.5 per 10,000 (95% CI 2.1 to 22.9). The excess risk of serious adverse events of special interest surpassed the risk reduction for COVID-19 hospitalization relative to the placebo group in both Pfizer and Moderna trials (2.3 and 6.4 per 10,000 participants, respectively).

Discussion: The excess risk of serious adverse events found in our study points to the need for formal harm-benefit analyses, particularly those that are stratified according to risk of serious COVID-19 outcomes such as hospitalization or death.

Got a week off, so popped to my local for a drink or two. Got talking to someone I know there who works in the hospitality industry. Young, vaxxmaxxed, recently developed type one diabetes. No familial history. Young, slim, healthy. Moderate drinker but nothing excessive. Another lass, who works at the bar had the same thing happen. Both within a year of having the third vaccine.

Anyone else know of similar happening? T1DM is an autoimmune disease. Interesting shit. It is NOT normal and not what should be expected, moreso in people with no family history. Struck me as interesting so I thought I would ask on here if anyone else has seen similar.
A friend who works in a hospital never got COVID until he got the booster. Since getting the booster, he got COVID that had him in bed for 2-3 days twice in 3 or 4 months. You saw right, got the rona twice in 4 months.
The booster is totally working though, right?

It is though... what the mRNA coding does is create a highway for the virus to attack your system. Pretty sure that was known with every other type of mRNA treatment. Idr if it was ADE specifically, or another adverse reaction or if my terms and acronyms are all fucked up, but that was a major reason it always was a bad idea to take it when they first rolled out.

Apologies if already posted

Omicron subvariants escape antibodies elicited by vaccination and BA.2.2 infection

I've noticed an increase is fear stories from UK MSM too

Is all the Covid nonsense coming back later this year?

I'm 50/50 on whether it would work again if they did. Too many people saying some variation of "I'm so over covid", yet still uncritically accepting everything the state and media claim about the pestilence.
Yeah I agree, I'm not sure how it will go. A lot more pushback I imagine

A lot of those "I'm so over covid" people will crack once they start ramping up the propaganda again

It’s kind of a bummer, although not a surprise, that the novavax may have the same issues
So will there ever be a working or safe vaccine ?
There's no demand for it since the existing vaxx is safe and effective. Theoretically there could be, but Pharma isn't gonna fund the multibillion-dollar research.

Also, I know 0 people who died of the virus. I know at least three that have debilitating vaccine side effects. The people who want a vax will infiniboost. The rest do not trust big pharma anymore.

Two weeks ago my boss's wife had to go to hospital with appendix issues and get it taken out. This week his son had to go into hospital with appendix issues and get it taken out. They are all maxx vaxxed and have all had covid recently (his wife had no visitors in hospital due to having covid). My boss is flabbergasted at such an unlikely occurrence. Nobody has mentioned the vaccines, covid, or a combination of the vaccines and covid as the cause, it's not yet common knowledge enough that anyone is willing to bring up the elephant in the room, the fat corpulent decadent frothing elephant that is crushing you into a corner.

Also another person at work just so happened to develop a brain tumor after the third shot and they have been away for a month. Oh well, I guess we have to work by gaslight now.

Apparently there's another Covid wave hitting the UK, in the middle of summer. Totally normal

Two new subvariants – BA.4 and BA.5 – of the Omicron variant have been increasing their share of UK infections for several weeks. Last week they finally overtook the BA.2 version of Omicron responsible for the most recent wave that the UK experienced, in March and April.

If you use letters and numbers as a descriptor that makes it scarier.

There are, however, some reasons for optimism. It’s far from certain that we will see the same level of infections or hospital admissions that we saw in the previous two Omicron waves. Portugal is coming down from a BA.5 wave in which hospitalisations reached 80% of their previous Omicron peak. In contrast, South Africa, which is over the worst of its BA.4/5 wave, hasn’t seen hospitalisations climb anywhere near the levels of the December/January Omicron peak.

Portugal is the most heavily vaccinated nation on the planet, South Africa is one of the least vaccinated. So bearing this in mind what conclusion should we draw?

While huge swathes of the world’s population remain unvaccinated, high levels of Covid transmission present the opportunity for new immunity-evading variants to emerge.

So having admitted that more vaccine equals more virus we can only conclude it's the unvaccinated's fault that a seasonal virus is behaving so weirdly and continues to spread like wildfire.

Remember the first Covid wave all the way back in the winter of 2020? Remember how it almost completely vanished during summer? Covid was behaving like a typical respiratory virus but something happened around about October 2020 that changed all that.

BTW Portugal has the highest mortality and morbidity rate in the world after Taiwan, another heavily vaccinated country.

And just to cap off another week the UK has released it's latest vaccine surveillance report, 5 weeks after publishing it's last one

It's exactly the same paper that was published in May. No new data has been disclosed.

Remember if the data showed good news for the jabs they'd be shouting it from the rooftops.

Yo guys, been a while. I noticed that all my vaxxmaxxed familymembers have a sudden uptick in colds, sniffles, fevers and so forth. It's summer, illness should be down, people get more vit. D.... they are happier (works wonders for the immunesystem) but they are sick with dumb shit all the time.
And no, it's not allergies, because there is usually a fever involved. Allergies usually don't give you a fever and fatigue to the point that you can't function at work or school.

In the meantime, I haven't been sick once this year, not even a cold or itchy throat...

At work, people are dropping off like flies. "Stomachbugs", sniffles, "flu", malaise... and I gotta pick up the slack. It ain't fun:sadwaifu:
I know some people who obvi had/have covid and they are hiding it (i've seen their positive test lying around), not even mentioning it, because they are vaxed and they don't feel the need to stay out of your face. They feel so superior about being boosted that they think they can't give covid to other people, even tho they must have gotten it from somewhere, right?
Dumb fuggin cunts all around me.
