that's the thing, redjuice wouldn't be really involved in her 3d anyway. designer/artist and 3d modeler are two different skill sets, and even if they can do both there's nothing keeping cover from delegating the 3d model off to some korean or vietnamese sweatshop (japan does that for anime all the time) besides a dumb set up contract, but that's on them. the only holdup would be if cover/irys wants changes or redesign first, and then base their model on that new version (which would make sense else they pay for a redundant model they'll never use).
however depending how extensive those changes would be they could still be applied to the first model, I highly doubt they'd have to start from scratch. the idol outfit would be even easier to do since that's only picking a style, color and then usually a ponytail for long hair.
however for that cover might wanna debut her with her regular outfit first like they use to do (the regular outfit gets more use anyway during 3d streams, idol is usually limited to events and special 3d streams).
might even be the case they're already sitting on a final model and cover/irys just don't want to debut it before the changes are through. yes, sometimes it's literally that stupid.
plenty of small things that could cascade, but like myth and 3d, the same question applies: if there are so many issues keeping it from happening at all, why not take the hit and go "even if it's not the most profitable/manageable course of action, given the circumstances here's what we gonna do", instead of sitting on their ass and make it look like they do nothing. getting irys her current 3d even when they'll never use it much in the future is still better than nothing for now and her getting proper 3d is more important (+plus PR and fan reaction etc.). and like any holoEN 3d you know they'd still make enough cash via the special event to make up for it (highly doubt ordering irys any 3d would put them in the red).
as for suisei/azki, that's probably due to INNK. suisei moved a while ago, azki only recently and there was always the question if she wanted to keep doing it or stick with her original graduation date. irys always was part of hololive proper.
maybe different item limits/timeframes? not familiar enough with merch to know the conditions. and I assume since it's all pretty small and lightweight shipping is probably cheaper too.
pretty sure that was always known to some degree, I think some holos hinted at it in the past.
given their fanbase a dragondildo would probably fit more and rake in even more cash.

The translation of the Rushia situation seems to paint it so that Rushia actually didn't share anything else other than conversations between her and her manager. So basically Cover exaggerated Rushia's termination reasons? If so, that's pretty fucking stupid to fire literally their biggest superchat earner.

I'm sure everyone has a reason to be into this shit but I wouldn't say loneliness is the catch all.
I did a bit of armchair psychology on myself about a year ago about this exact thing actually. I wanted to see if I could figure out why I got so invested in this stuff when I didn't have much interest in anything else related to it anymore. I won't overshare like our best boy here but let's put it simply. I'm in my late 20s/early 30s and I started a family at 20. I grew up quick.
When I think back to my childhood and what I enjoyed the most, it was mostly watching Toonami and Adult Swim with my friends after school. Cowboy Bebop, Dragon Ball Z, Trigun, Outlaw Star, Tenchi Muyo, Inuyasha, Naruto, Bleach etc. All of the big dubbed anime of the 90s and 2000s. In my later years I didn't really watch anime anymore. I just fell off it when I stopped hanging out with those friends.
That was until Myth debuted. Something about the English speaking anime girls reignited something from my past. Ever since then I've been whole hog in the hole. Now I'm a Holofag, Nijifag, Phasefag and many other types of fag as well. It just gives me that good nostalgic feeling.
TLDR: English Vtubers are nostalgic for me.

I think it was purely conjecture but i do think that kore kore, the guy who showcased her dms and tried to clear shit up for her, teased around that he had more info than he initially showed
So even if it was true that she didnt actually show more, the word that she spread alot of shit out was probably more than enough to warrant the contract termination in COVER's eyes, or what she showed was enough

I don't think they exagerated. The statement says she broke NDA and was fired because of it. Nothing more.
She definitely was not fired just for leaking a message to Korekore. If her messages went back to November, then she definitely had been doing it for a while and her bullshit with Mafumafu and then talking to Korekore over that weekend just brought it all to light.
She probabky got shitcan because she just would not listen to management and it got to be too much. We are also only getting this from Rushia's very biased side of things. She can't seem to let things go and clearly does not think she has done anything wrong. The most we get from her is half-apologies, then it is back to complaining about antis, instead of ignoring them and moving on like she should have to begin with.

This statement had approval from Cover Corp, which is their own way of apologizing for their mishap in the situation, this would mean Cover backs everything up 100%. I know I'm not supposed to know everything, but now I'm wondering what exact NDA was violated, despite me knowing the point of the NDA is that no one but the two parties should know. Starting to think how fragile and sensitive VTuber corpo contracts must have if what Rushia did was a violation, yet Moona can just tell people how much Cover Corp takes away from their talents on stream--which is something they mustn't disclose since neither Holo nor Niji members are ever allowed to say the exact numbers-- but barely gets any punishment for it.
Corpos are wild, but I guess it's good to see that a MikeNeko x Hololive collab is still possible at this point.
