Infanticide is actually something that's been a part of every society for most of history, even if it was taboo to discuss openly. Abandoning unwanted infants was also usually effectively infanticide, since survival prognosis for abandoned newborns was poor back when. Tbh smothering/drowning/etc them to get the inevitable over with quickly was probably more humane than leaving them to die of exposure outside or in a pile of manure or w/e.
Anyway aborting embryos long before they become unwanted babies in the first place is the most humane thing of all but unfortunately Jesus-flavor Sharia enthusiasts don't like that, so women and girls living in red states will inevitably go back to the old fashioned way of dealing with unwanted pregnancies.
