Great. Lobby your state government then and enjoy the reality of state's rights which allows me to live under a different set of rules than you and we can both be happy.

PS babies are not only a gift, you literally do not have a nation when your replacement rate is below 2.1
While I understand the sentiment around state's rights and somewhat agree with you, keep in mind that the second the GOP has the Presidency, House, and Senate, they will outlaw it nationally. They have been in that situation before, but didn't bother as they didn't have a compliant Supreme Court.

If people are OK with that, fine, but don't pretend that the GOP is consistent over the years on States Rights. State's Rights is a cudgel that they use up until the point that they don't use it. Not defending Dems, they suck, too, and have their own shady rhetorical devices.

Why is this US politics shit being featured? I get things like 230 or DMCA stuff being featured, they directly affect the site. But this generic politics BS is boring.

Featured should be for obese women taking meth, alcoholic rednecks getting into fights and trannies faking suicides.
We're mostly just waiting for the riots now, which should be fun at least.

So has anyone gone through and checked if anything in the opinion changed since the leaked draft? Obviously the parts where the main decision replied to the concurrences and dissents are new but how about the opinion itself?

WE JUST KEEP WINNING BOIS

No it doesn't. Allowing something for straights but not for gays is a pretty clear and uncontroversial violation of the 14th amendment, while banning abortions requires some tortured insane troll logic to figure out how it violates the 4th.
Gay people can marry the opposite sex just like everyone else. Thats never not been the case.

The only difference seems to be the leaked opinion only had a 5-4 majority but the final vote was 6-3. It backfired bigly on the leaker.

I know the gun info is important to Null if you watch the MATI podcast.

Plus the salt from the kiwis that are lefties has been pretty funny, so there's that

Maybe, maybe not. I seem to recall the last time the GOP had the Presidency, House, and Senate that did precisely fuck all.

But anyway, I would not support such a federal law. I support Californians and New Yorkers aborting as many babies as possible.

Much like every other "culture war" issue going on right now, the Left has pushed their side beyond the scope of reason. "Transwomen are women" and "abolish the police" and whatnot. Abortion is the same. Instead of having any sort of reasonable debate about it, they've pushed the narrative that the ONLY possible reason to be anti-abortion is that you have to HATE WOMEN and that abortion is 100% just a "woman making a choice about her body" and nothing else. Zero room for nuance, zero room for discussion. This is what happens when you try to shove the Overton Window too far to the left. Reality snatches it back

And I'm pro-choice btw. I just am also very capable of understanding a pro-lifer's point of view because I'm not a brainwashed psychopath
Exactly this!

I'm old enough to remember when being a Leftie/Democrat meant you were part of the "sane/rational" side of the aisle but, oh how the tides have turned. From "safe, legal and rare" to outright endorsing abortions @ 8 months and even "after-birth abortions"?! No wonder most of us sane folk have distanced ourselves from this radical bullshit. Ffs, they did this to themselves. /sperg

I really don't get where people got the idea that this basically means the end of abortions... I mean I do know why because literally every political thing ever is now a life or death situation but this overturning of RvW won't teach people how to be responsible, they'll still look for easy ways out. As for the guns I'm happy. More rights for firearms 'n shit, the better.
