Yea because our hunter gather and medieval peasant ancestors were so damn prosperous and rich. People don't have kids because they are lazy spoiled brats that live in a arrested youth and don't want to miss the next Marvel product.

The lack of fertility rate corresponds not to wealth but that societies population connection to hyperreality, which is more real to them than mentoring and raising their own kids.

There's some on protected fishing and stuff too. People have went to prison for eating certain lobsters overseas that are illegal to consume here

Nope. There are a whole bunch of fed statutes covering overseas crimes, from murder to fraud. Go and fuck with the IRS while living in a foreign country and see what happens.
