Abortions are done in clinics that are paid for by state taxes, and overseen by the state itself. And these people are somehow surprised when the Supreme Court grants the state the right to deem abortions illegal?

That just brings up the question of why women are in the military in co-ed living arrangements with men. They should keep their living arrangements seperate and make sure that the men cannot get access to the woman's quarters easily. So basically, anti troon bathrooms but for all the dudes in the military (except the Navy because they love seamen).

If you want his actual opinion on it, read his marvelous dissent in Gonzales v. Raich. Anyone who has the opinion that Thomas is simply a token should probably read his dissents. They generally represent a coherent Constitutional philosophy and he has been quite consistent about it.

Gonzales incidentally is a medical marijuana case, and Thomas's view, consistent with his prior opinions, is that Wickard v. Filburn is simply wrong and he would overrule it, but specifically, that the federal government has no right whatsoever to outlaw marijuana or any other crop under the basis of "interstate commerce," especially when the commerce remains entirely within a state or within the control of a single person in his own home.

Bernie, AOC and the rest might as well start their own party if they hope to shape policy in any meaningful way. Dems are too incompetent.

unless another case comes from LGBTQ for pronouns or same-sex marriage & morning-after pill.
I think a minor stop-gap for pronouns or same-sex marriage & morning-after pill ruling is Ketanji Brown Jackson who will try to lean left to stop any more hemorrhaging.
