Twitter users really will retweet just about any advice as long as it sounds even slightly convincing, as if inducing miscarriages at home isn’t extremely dangerous (it is).
That's part of the point they are making tho
"Give us what we want or we'll kill ourselves"
Supreme court just said "lol ok"

Y'all remember this? Went from this:

"The Freedom of Choice Act is not my highest legislative priority." - Obama, 2009

The reason for it was because he chose to move forward on Health Care instead, and he needed some pro-life dem votes in the House for this. Trying to codify Roe in the few months they had 60 senate seats would have just blown up health care negotiations, which were incredibly delicate.

Apologies if it's been posted already but there's some solid protest footage in this twitter thread

I don't wanna bloat the post with a bunch of images but I will pick out my personal favorite. Of course the most American actions are being taken by an immigrant, that guy understands what's up.

Once again, for any pro-choicer, let me ask you, where do you want the human race to be in 100 years? Extinct or barely surviving while crawling through piles of trash?

Go watch the end of the movie Threads, I'm talking about that sort of thing.

If you don't want that to happen then we have to start rolling back some of the changes made to society in the 1960s on through 2015, starting with Roe.

Gay marriage needs to be next, I'll leave it as an open question HOW many of these things we need to rollback, but we need lots of rollback, it's undeniable by this point.

The stakes are too high to risk otherwise.
I mean if some rando on the internet says it well that’s good enough to convince me!

So does this ruling mean that paternity/maternity leave, free healthcare and government subsidized childcare are going to be passed soon?
There is this stubborn Calvinist/Protestant streak which doesn't go away so easily. So, there is maladjustment. (Those unwanted children need to be taught fiscal responsibility.)

Ultimately it doesn't really matter in the short-term. Shutting down health clinics is a cheap, simple solution to a looming problem (white birthrates) that many conservatives agree on. They can't afford to lose that base by acting rational now.

You can make that argument easily for Pelosi, Schumer and the rest of the neolib trash. Hell Pelosi appeared in ads for anti abortion democrat (Henry Cuellar) in a recent Texas primary race. Bernie is socialist to his core, agree of not you have to respect a guy who sticks to his principals.
Bernie had the 2016 nomination stolen in the blatantly rigged primaries and still told people to support the organization which fucked him.

Then it happened again in 2020. Man's a sellout.

If you want his actual opinion on it, read his marvelous dissent in Gonzales v. Raich. Anyone who has the opinion that Thomas is simply a token should probably read his dissents. They generally represent a coherent Constitutional philosophy and he has been quite consistent about it.

Gonzales incidentally is a medical marijuana case, and Thomas's view, consistent with his prior opinions, is that Wickard v. Filburn is simply wrong and he would overrule it, but specifically, that the federal government has no right whatsoever to outlaw marijuana or any other crop under the basis of "interstate commerce," especially when the commerce remains entirely within a state or within the control of a single person in his own home.
Yeah I've read his stance before. But I don't think he'll ever get to marshal the rest of the court to actually go after Wickard. I don't think he even gets to lay the foundation in a majority opinion.

I wish he'd get the chance, but even today's ruling doesn't make it seem more likely. Dobbs doesn't overturn decades of federal regulation, it removes a court-imposed restriction on the states and lets them write their own laws. Alito and company don't seem willing to go as far as what Thomas outlines in his concurrence, which contains the bit all of Twitter is freaking out about (going after Lawrence and similar cases).

Hmm... Yeah, those are grounds for a visit from the feds.
I know it would be down here in Brazil. A few righty idiots got caught threatening Supreme Court Justices with this kind of bullshit. They never recovered.

Also, oooh, scary. I'm sure Clarence, Neil, Beer Brett and ACB are shaking in their boots.

I'm tempted to start a new Twitter advising people to drink a mixture of pure sodium and water to induce abortion. The explosions should be pretty entertaining.

(Not actually going to do it, so don't get your panties in a twist.)

Gay people are a minority of the population, any boost to the birth rate that comes from banning same sex marriage will be so miniscule it wouldn’t matter.

There’s almost 8 billion people on this planet, abortion is not common enough that it’s legality will make the human race extinct. That’s just your paranoia talking.

Are there no cute pro-abortion protestors. I feel like despite journos being ideological shills for that side they can't take photos of anyone remotely attractive for some reason, whereas every other anti-abortion protestor photo has cute girls in it.
