Neither would I. Which is why I oppose the government-sanctioned destruction of the bodies of babies.

Oh, there's a woman involved? We'll take her wishes into consideration too, but the very life of another human comes first. (If the two lives come into conflict, she can have preferential protection.)

You can whine about the definition of life, or that it's an unequal burden, or whatever. But the logic isn't mystifying here.

Because besides the typical but true spiel about abortion objectively being murder, it's one of the many syptoms of society's unhealthy attitude toward sex. Sex is primarily for reproduction and to pretend otherwise is retarded. Don't want to have kids? Don't have sex. Sure you can masturbate but it's sociopathic to think that killing a person is an actual solution to overpopulation when at every point in human history prior to the modern era, migration and contraceptive methods (which as a Catholic, I admittedly see as sinful but not fucking murder. Same goes for masturbation) solved said problems. As a society, our consept of human sexuality is fucked beyond belief. That's why men think they are women, women men, gay people are vectors for disease despite literal outbreaks popping out of that community like chlymidia, syphilis and AIDs, lesbians are in domestic abuse situations at astronomical rates. It's also why marraiges don't last nowadays, the dating scene is FUBAR due to dating apps like Tinder and the pickup culture surrounding it, male and female incels exist at such high rates. Maybe we should practice a more healthy sexuality as a culture and mind you this really isn't even the Catholic part of me talking. This is the part of me that realizes that we are rational animals and society is a thing that is preserved, not just appearing out of thin air. Maybe we should staty acting like it matters and start acting in ways that will ensure the longevity of the human species in the long term rather than do that stupid shit in 2020 and 2021 where the government was just printing money as if it was candy.
