It's more of a "please God give me a case regarding this". The Supreme Court is deliberately avoiding jumping over the bounds of the case and thus repeating the mistakes of Roe, but Thomas states that the same legal logic used to justify Roe was also used in these cases, and so any further review of them should be judged by the same new standard.
