They grew up going to American public schools. They never stood a damn chance at understanding anything about our history or structure of government. I'm amazed I learned as much as I did, frankly, and I suspect it's because I grew up in the rural part of a swing state in the 90s/early 00s. The proto-woke virus hadn't spread very far from the cesspits of academia yet, as there were still some of the old guard around to keep the loons in check. Then they aged out and the lunatics began running the asylums. Even then, I remember my civics textbooks and history classes bemoaning the lack of "stories of marginalized voices" and whatnot, though I don't think the terminology was 'marginalized voices' quite then.Hell I'm not murican and I know how the different branches of the executive, legislature and judiciary over there function. How do people, especially such insufferably political activist types, get to their age without learning these things?
