you can tell DSP didnt expect this.. where is the money!? he has been hyping up this collection for months.
real talk, this collection is awesome. its been done pretty well. i can see why people find it overpriced but this is an example of a collection done well. a lot of fanservice stuff.
i wonder how long before DSP either drops this or goes back to the version he hates.

My prediction of how the Capcom Fighting Collection will play out which will be similar to how KOF XV was dropped
1.) Will last roughly 2 weeks before its Rage/Wage Quit.
2.) Single player will fail fast. Its pretty much already failed at $55 in tips.
3.) Online will be hilarious, Darkstalkers is already dead online. Streetfighter has a player base, buuuuuuuuuut on XBOX he will ban so many people that he won't have a player base to play with as it will drop off fast as the fad fades quickly over the week.
4.) Street Fighter will drop off within a week as it will be stale gameplay of Phil running back to the original tropes, LAG, INPUT LAG, Skipped Frames blah blah blah. Since its only Street Fighter 2 it will get borring as no variety between Street Fighter 2, Alpha and Third Impact.
5.) Phil will go running back to Thirdstrike on PS+ or 30th anniversary once he realizes it uses the same roll back netcode from 30th anniversary.
This will happen over the next 2 weeks.

Yea but if he did then he would have to fight peoeple who know how to play the game and dont lose to his repetitive ass combos.
His ego can't handle it because it's so attached to being good as SF2 Super Trubo for some gay ass reason, I mean you see how he reacts when he loses to randos at Third Strike, imagine him playing competent players.

I'm not a fighting game pro by any means but I have a good three thousand hours between all the mortal kombat games. I've noticed that any time Phil plays a fighting game he has combos that are less impressive than any even a layman like I could do. His usual combos are just jab jab jab extra move and then occasionally a booster/super move of some kind if he has the meter, which he never conserves.
Pros are not just learning the technical elements to an absolute T but also understand frame data. Phil's only understanding of these things seems to be surface level simply so he can
1. Demonstrate he knows it
2. Use it as an excuse most people can't debunk
He seems to have almost no knowledge besides what he has gathered to use as an excuse. Any actual technical knowledge he has, footsies, frame data, etc. all seems to serve only those purposes. You're not going to see Phil pull off a frame perfect combo. In fact he does not even attempt combos with frame windows. He has just enough basic knowledge to know when he should and shouldn't attack and that's about it for Phil's fighting game knowledge.
Insane to think he refers to himself as a professional fighting game player.
EDIT: It's 20 minutes past Phil's designated starting time for his night stream. I just wanted to add this comment that he always shows up 20 to 30 minutes late for the night stream. We've gotten so used to it that we barely notice but it's insane he just shows up 20 to 30 minutes late without caring at all or even commenting about it anymore. It's just expected.

He knows a half decent amount of shit about SuperTurbo2 (nothing you can't learn from one or two YouTube videos) but I'll say in ST2 the combos aren't as crazy as they are today so you don't need to know that much.
You're absolutely right about his combos though, he learns one or two basic combos for one character (and spends an entire stream in practice mode learning said combo) and spams it ad nauseum.
His playstyle and excuses are incredibly boring and predicable, yet he thinks that he is playing at a tournament and expects everyone else to do the same.
Phil is confused that he can't find a ranked match in Darkstalkers.

I read somewhere on here that he also lives in NYC. And if hes only working a customer service job then he must either still live with his parents or a bunch of roommates (or a shelter).
