Now I ain't saying that its right or wrong, but I wonder how some of our more epidermic sensitive citizens will react when they realized they have also lost their best tool for keeping demographics on their side. They were gonna be overtacen by rabbit-like Hispanics someday, but now all the rainbow colors are gonna have to keep poping them kids out. Fun times ahead anyways.

Who cares? Just ship them off to the abusive, overpopulated, and underfunded foster care program, in true pro-life style!
I feel sorry for people like you who were never loved by your parents or anyone so you think that is the default state of existence

But even so you're still functioning enough to shitpost on an internet birb forum so what was your point again?

I love this ruling from a standpoint that it's a lessening of federal power and the first backtrace of the establishment using the fucking Supremes to do an end-run around the legislative process for ages. It's an end to endless years of using this fucking case as a wedge issue by shitheads on both sides, and the first step taken towards parity on this front in ages. That's a thing every political stripe should take pride in - a branch making itself fucking less powerful.

What makes me absolutely fucking livid, however, is how bad this ruling is being fearmongered. I have a bunch of friends who are convinced this shit will begin a domino effect that will undo major rulings, based on people who don't understand how fucking law works shrieking at them that they're all fucking doomed because a terrible goddamn ruling that was never going to survive a direct challenge anyway has been successfully challenged and repealed. Fuck the press for doing this shit and fuck the terminally online screeching idiots of social media for enabling them.

Much more mundane salt, but the graduate student union at my university sent this email late in the afternoon (3 hours after the event started -- school administration has the competence of a sloth with AIDS). Info redacted to not PL:

Main highlights:
1) My uni is in CA, which is not affected by this decision (unless CA decides to pay women birthers to come here and get abortions with our tax money, which is a whole other issue), so this is pointless. Nothing is being provided at all (no bathrooms, bring your own stuff "as you need"), so this whole event is a useless performance.
2) "Bring your children" in the 2nd bullet point...
3) Organizer has pronouns (lol) and is a "Campus Climate Director"? I guess abortions in far away states reduce greenhouse gasses and allow you to buy a 3rd Tesla.
4) Are we as a society becoming so weak we need events like these openly advertised? I swear, if Pearl Harbor/WW2 were to happen today, I feel like society would collapse into nothing.

Counting down the days until I get my PhD and can GTFO...
