In general a lot of anime does not seem to have such bad plots and messaging especially when compared to contemporary western media. On the other hand it can't be denied that a large chunk of trannies and other weird people online seem to be deeply into anime. Is the reason that anime causes people in some way to become like this or is it the other way around and do weird autistic people just have the tendency to get really into it and be open about it while normal people just consume it without having their life revolve around it?

I don't think it's autism that causes excessive media consumption in general. I think there are a lot of factors that can contribute to someone consuming too much media, and each person is different. For some people, it might be because they're trying to escape from reality or numb themselves from their emotions. For others, it could be because they're curious and want to learn more about the world around them. And for others still, it might just be because they enjoy entertainment and find joy in watching TV or movies or playing video games. There's no one answer for why people consume too much media, but I do think that autistic people are often unfairly blamed for this behavior when there are many other potential explanations.

I think it's a bit more complex, one of those things where psychological issues causes a person to gravitate towards it and excessive consumption of it aggravates those symptoms, especially because I think it's probably easy for a person to get introduced to anime and slowly slide into a pattern where they keep pursuing the most cheaply gratifying elements, kind of like someone with poor self control who eats salads but over time their "salads" become nothing but cheese and salad dressing. Or in this case overstimulating, repetitive, fetishistic content.

But that's the thing, it's not that popular an art form outside of tard-heavy circles. Virtually nobody in the west is getting exposed to anime unless they were already involved with autism to begin with.

I could definitely see the anime to pedo pipeline happening.
The vast majority of anime has underaged protags, usually aged 13-17.
That's already pretty bad, especially given that anything aside from penetration is legal in Japan from age 13.
Then however, you have mainstream anime series with sizable budgets that revolve around pedophilia.
I'll give you one example:

There's this recent anime called Uchi no Maid ga Uzasugiru!
It's about an ex-military buff girl becoming a maid/babysitter:

Pretty standard stuff as far as anime goes but I like buff girls so I was mildly interested.
Then however, the plot starts going and we meet the child she's meant to be babysitting:

OK, you think to yourself: "So what?"
Well, the introduction of the girl has her running through the house with the camera glued to her ass.
They're not even hiding it, the wind blows, the skirt flows and we see her 10 year old ass.
It's also a very expensive dynamic scene with a fluent camera that sadly looks really impressive on a technical level.
...
So it's bad, right?
But then, we get introduced to the main plotline of the show:
THE MAID REALLY WANTS TO FUCK THE 10 YEAR OLD GIRL.
What's that? You read that wrong, you think?
No, the main plot in this shit is a 28 yer old soldier wanting to fuck a 10 year old child.
Just look at the promotional material for this crap:

And this is a mainstream anime with a budget.
With this shit being distributed worldwide, I think anime creating pedos is an issue one needs to seriously consider.
