Frankly I would rather that the state stay out of the institution of marriage entirely so the possibility of the ruling back in 2015 being reversed isn't quite something I'd lose sleep over, although it will probably means that states will be legalizing it one by one again the way they were already leading up to the aforementioned ruling.

And the monkeypox did not work either, pretty sure they were banking on another year of COVID to say "ok if we win we are definitely going to fix the pandemy and let everyone return to their normal lives honestly!"

Then Lord Putin, first of his name throwed that to the garbage, you can pinpoint exactly when the COVID histerics ended, when the loom and doom of a possible WW3 appeared

Personally, I'm not the organizing type, but it hypothetically would be sweet if some sort of self-defense organization formed in Minecraft. Could call it a militia or something.

Ted Cruz. DeSantis needs another four years in charge of Florida to make sure things are going well and there's a proper successor. Cruz is a snake, but I think Trump could force him to play ball now that he knows who and what he is dealing with, and it would force the Dems to spend massively with money they do not have to keep the dream of a blue Texas alive. And then in 2028 we get a Cruz/deSantis primary season, and won't that be fun for us Kiwis to watch given our unofficial motto of "Let them fight"?

Yep. That big water bond they passed a while back had all the reservoirs get axed because some gaggle of bureaucrats got together and said the RoI wasn't good enough. The wetlands restoration it got bundled with though...no problems there. Everyone knows what drought does to wetlands, and we can't have them or the creatures living there dying from climate change. Won't someone think of the biodiversity?

And someone posted up about the totally-not-an-insurrection in Arizona as people peacefully protested the state Senate voting by trying to force their way inside.

The city is also (smartly) cutting in on CA's tech industry. Three out of the last four tech firms I've worked for were offloading data center operations to external contractors/new departments based in Vegas.
I've had more emergency contact #s start with 702 over the last eight years than 408.

Well if Californians are going to flood the city then Nevada might as well chip away at their grip on big tech.
