I screenshot this a few weeks ago from a Shinko Fluer video, but forgot to post it. Its not particularly relevant but I never could put into words why I think his burps and apologies were so passive aggressive. I just agree wholeheartedly.

Allow me to sperg a bit... Some, otherwise reasonable detractors, have insisted that DSP actually can't control his snorts and burps while I take the hard stance that he controls and encourages them:
He drinks straight seltzer water which tastes awful on its own and there is no reason to drink it over plain water. Not only that, it's very bad for your teeth and the carbonation accelerates decay-- that's assuming, of course, that it's not mixed with gin. Probably a pretty big assumption.
It's a common observation that he can go long periods without snorting or burping. The last time was during the Rambo/Howard "react", if I'm not mistaken; where I saw several people mention that he didn't snort much. I don't know myself because I couldn't suffer that stream-- regardless, other times include the bankruptcy hearing, interviews, and any time he puts on 'PR' mode.
He pounds his chest to encourage burping. Literally, who does this? Besides that, it is quite possible to mute burps in your mouth by closing it. It is also possible to amplify them by tensing your diaphragm and opening your mouth... Guess which one DSP does.
It's a meme that DSP leans into his mic to snort; except if you pay attention, he literally does that. Not every time, of course, but far too often for it to be a coincidence. Plus, despite DSP claiming it's a crippling condition, there are over-the-counter treatments that work for most cases of post nasal drip that are not caused by allergies. And if it really inconvenienced him, he'd surely treat it.
And then there is the way he has developed this... uh... guttural grumbling over the past year, or so. I've heard 80-year-old chain smokers make less spastic sounds when coughing up a lung and take less time when doing it...
My point is that I don't think it's a question of whether DSP makes all these noises on purpose but for what purpose he makes them. The common belief seems to be that it's a gouty expression of dominance over anyone viewing him; forcing them to endure his putrescence. But he must have at least some shame over doing these things, otherwise, he wouldn't not do them in settings he's not comfortable in...
