If people are mostly pro-choice then why is this even a controversy? Why doesn't Congress pass the law today?
Because Republicans will filibuster the crap out of it. Hell, they tried but Republicans filibustered it. And states are gerrymandered out the ass so Republicans control the legislatures in even blue states. It's not as easy as you guys make it seem because you seem unaware of the filibuster and gerrymandering.

Polls indicated otherwise from reality? Well obviously that means reality is wrong! Right champ?

Reactions: Puff
Maybe 2-3% of people actually care, but not enough to do something about it, as witnessed by the lack of protests, riots, and any sort of action that isn't posting on Twitter or doing a TikTok dance.
It's almost like these "opinion leader" types don't actually give a shit about getting anything done and are quite literally diverting their idiot followers into completely useless actions with zero chance of having any effect. Tik-Tok dances? Are you shitting me? Is nobody insulted by this shit?

Maybe actually pay attention to your LOCAL elections in the future if you supposedly care so much?

The filibuster is just a rule and Dems have the votes to change it today. So why don't they if the topic is as popular as you believe?

I doubt it'll happen because Sinema and Manchin will be against it. They hold an equality in the senate, so they'd need every Dem on board to do it and Sinema and Manchin often vote Republican.

Maybe things will change after November but I doubt it. And again, polls have said that RvW being overturned is very unpopular. Why can't you guys just admit you're in the minority?

Ah, so it isn't the filibuster like you just claimed.

But you said most people are pro-choice... How can two Democrats be standing in the way of such popular progressive legislation if that is true?

If 65% of all Americans care about this as you claim, where are they? How come they're not out rioting, burning shit down, going after court houses and police stations like in 2020?

Oh yeah. It's because it's not 65%. Not even 5%. Barely 1-2% on a good day. No one cares.

I see you didn't read what I wrote. It is the filibuster. Manchin and Sinema have said they'd oppose doing away with the filibuster.

Sinema is a DINO and Manchin is from WV so he pretty much has to tote a fine line between the parties. But again, polls indicate you are wrong. Every poll on the subject does. Or are the polls "fake news"?

Or they don't want to riot over it but are still against it. People are mostly against it but not going to riot over it. No idea why you can't comprehend there being middle ground between "not caring" and "rioting".

It sounds like you're full of shit, bud.

Vast majority of people have no idea what RvW even is, and when they find out, their reaction is always a resounding "meh." Even here no one seems to care outside of some child-hating autists such as yourself and android raptor. Everyone just finds your histrionics hilarious, that's why people are responding to you.

Oh no, the protesters are tired and miss second breakfast, time to pack it up and go home.
<sad trumpet sounds>

You're the one who refuses to believe any polls, all because some retards thought Tik Tok dances would save RvW. Again, you should realize there's a middle ground between "not caring" and "rioting". There's a lot of middle ground there. Not sure why you can't comprehend that?

And I know you spend way too much time on your alt-right echo chambers on the internet, but most people are not A&Hers with alt-right opinions. Most people are not right-wing fundie nutjobs like you guys. The polls indicate that most people are for abortion rights.

Ironic that the guy who said Q was right about everything, Hillary is in jail, admitted to living off SSI, LARPs as a Russian and lost his life savings to a crypto pump and dump is accusing someone else of "histrionics".

Whoops, I was wrong, it was 64%. https://www.npr.org/2022/05/19/1099844097/abortion-polling-roe-v-wade-supreme-court-draft-opinion

How so?

It's truth though, dude. Just because you don't like being grouped with fundies doesn't mean it's not true.
I don't usually step into the middle of arguments, but I wanted to point out something.

From the link you shared:
"The survey of 1,304 adults, including 1,213 registered voters, has a margin of error of +/- 3.9 percentage points when adults are referenced and +/- 4.1 percentage points when referring to voters. That means results could be about 4 points higher or lower. The poll was conducted from May 9 to 13 by live interview callers, who reached respondents via cell phone and landline in English and in Spanish."

So 64% of 1304 people.

That is an incredibly tiny size for a study on a subject so highly controversial.

Further, the article states that this was all Democrats that were asked.

No hard numbers stated for Republicans.

What I'm trying to say is that article is essentially hot garbage for anyone trying to make an argument.

I don't think Democrats are going to get any kind of boost due to this RvW issue.

A state choosing to ban abortion is the result of a democratic process in said state. If they made that decision, that means the majority of people in that state support banning abortion. Is democracy really that hard of a concept for you to grasp?

Judging from number of the states that have decided to ban abortions, we can clearly see that the majority of the American people do NOT in fact support Roe vs. Wade, no matter what some crooked poll told you. Cope, sneed, and dilate.

No, according to the article it was 93% of Democrats that said RvW should not be overturned. 64% was it overall, including 62% independents.

So you're going by landmass instead of actual population? Of course you are. I guess Wyoming counts more than New York because it's bigger land mass despite having like 5% of the population of NY, right?
And again, some blue states are gerrymandered out the ass by Republicans. So even if the vast majority of people support legal abortion, it won't happen. Look up gerrymandering, son.

It's amazing how you cannot accept anything that goes against your fragile alt-right worldview.

I’d like to see redditors fucking try and do something moronic. The Secret Service wouldn’t mind some live target practice

I'm surprised /pol/ or other places haven't tried some gayop to get them to think Thomas actually lives at 14 Branchland Court, it's in Virgina and these retards thought Dankula was a justice so it's not too far fetched. I guess they figure Borb has suffered enough and doesn't need a bunch of fags protesting outside her house, which I'm inclined to agree with.

I'm going by observable, factual reality. You're posting fictional nonsense. I understand this is hard for you to grasp as your NPC programming keeps saying "fundies bad" but damn nigga, how can you be so deluded in face of overwhelming evidence?

Your own fucking source shows the majority supports some abortion restrictions. The NPR thing just shows that who they polled don't understand what the Supreme Court ruling does.
