I actually find him hilarious and immensely entertaining, but he is believer in all manner of woo and conspiracies. Most of the time he broaches those topics carefully and in a self-deprecating way, but sometimes he gets spergey about it, especially on his Vegetable Police channel.

While the video is a bit suspicious, I think the people in the comments are undeniably overreacting, saying he's been on a "downward spiral for years" or some horseshit just because he's skeptical of mainstream views.

Anyone else feel like Midnight's Edge is on the cusp of going crazy? I used to watch their videos constantly because I really love learning about all the ways Hollywood could blow through millions of dollars. Their coverage on box office bombs and studio losses were interesting and to the point, and they included occasional behind the scenes bickering and insight.

When COVID shut down the movie industry though, they started struggling with things to talk about. And I get it, that was a rough time for a lot of entertainment based channels. The only thing that really continued to come out was Star Wars, and for two straight years I've gotten something in my sub box bitching about Kathleen Kennedy maybe once or twice a week. Either that, or incredibly long 3 hour live streams I'm not interested in listening to.

Their newest video about Lightyear is just....weird. Pixar having a box office bomb isn't that common, so I was interested in learning more about the movie. But their entire video is about how the movie is propaganda for children because one of the characters has a blink and youll miss it gay family. That seems a little extreme, but I could maybe see your point of view since Disney has put that stuff in all their movies now with no substance. Where the whole video really falls apart is they then claim that's specifically why the movie bombed. The movie bombed because it was woke, everyone noticed, and called it propaganda. They were praising countries like Saudi Arabia for banning the movie, saying it wasn't banned because it was gay, but because it was propaganda.

Like, maybe take in some perspective? Pixar has a decent reputation, but their movies aren't must-sees like they once were. The series ended at Toy Story 3 for a lot of people. Toy Story 4 was divisive. There really wasn't a lot of buzz (lol) for the Lightyear movie leading up to it. I hadn't heard a peep about the thing until it was announced the movie was banned. They briefly cover other factors such as Tim Allen being replaced for the role, but that's the only non-woke reason I think they mentioned. God forbid it just be an all around mediocre movie no one wanted to see, with being banned in a few foreign markets contributing to its overall larger failure.
