I'm sure Ian is fun and all as a friend but he is insufferable as a "comedian".

I would humbly submit myself for 3rd mic, I'll do way better than Sam Roberts ever did.

exactly, these guys act like they're so free speech and honest and they are just playing a role, redbar raked luis over the coals for this when he guest hosted compound. Just the fact that these people are all charlatans is infurriating.

Its hard not to assume they had some falling out considering the show is this close to ending anyway. Maybe we'll find out, I'm just gonna assume its Hasan's fault until then.

Doesn't seem that way really, they both showed support for him on Twitter so it must not have been that bitter of a breakup. Seems purely like a career move imo

Just because they aren’t publicly shit-talking each other doesn’t mean there wasn’t a falling out. As I see it it doesn’t really benefit any of them to immediately start shitting on each other. Even if they harbor a visceral hatred of one another I expect they all still care more about keeping the money flowing in than they do to begin fielding a public drama which could affect their finances, at least for the time being. Might start to see shit flying after a couple of months have come and gone once they don’t have any significant financial overlap anymore.

stav's role in the podcast was to bring the discussion away from getting too many layers into a bit or too deep into an autistic rabbit hole for too long, and i think that was a big part of the podcast's success 4-5 years ago, but its started to become a career choice for him to break into mainstream shit and it started to become annoying. it's polite to say that you're happy for someone who does that but it's 2022 and it's kind of like the equivalent of settling on a woman with herpes in the hopes they won't break up with you - everyone saw what happened with million dollar extreme.

i listened to part of an episode without stav and it feels like they aren't dumbing themselves down to set up jokes that he understands. it's a different vibe but everyone already said that nick carried the podcast anyways

Nick's very funny but he wants to be in commercials.

I'm fine with The Adam Friedland show, he's the only one who has any energy at this point. Nick is lazy and Stav wants to be a mainstream stand-up comedian. When unshackled from them, Adam is pretty fun.
