I'm not really sure what's going on here but I believe she is picking gold out of his ass wallet.
This was made by the same person who makes Humon, which is essentially about a chubby girl being chubby, it's boring. But sometimes racism flies out. Which I'll show in a bit after drinking.

Oh, I almost forgot that Humon was around lol. But, yeah, shitty art and just dumb shit all around without any attempt at improving.

Also, she's the one who wrote the Hetalia ripoff. (Which isn't saying much because Hetalia was shit, but there you go.)

why are you making a comic about butt plugs.jpg

Why is it even when Rayne makes a point, I still want to slug him? Then again, the guy has an arrogance that can rival a neo-conservative pundit (and a self-righteous streak). I'm fine with a character with high self-esteem or who is even a little cocky.

I think it's because his idea of standing up to terrorists is making smug cartoons instead of anything that requires thought and effort or would actually accomplish anything. Obviously full sympathy for the victims at Charlie Hebdo but just because someone kills you doesn't mean your art is some deep satire of society that'll change the world. In this comic the Rayne character (standing for his creator) is essentially trying to elevate low-effort "hurr edgy jokes, i offended u" into something meaningful.

One reason I love when he goes on these tirades and acts like he's better than everyone is because this:

Is his usual level of comic.

I'm surprised no-one's mentioned Oglaf(NSFW). A seemingly random short-arc comic mostly about fucking in various weird, weird situations. Art is sort of ok but there's very little humour to it most of the time.
Oglaf is a bit of a mixed bag. There's a few that I thought were funny and others that were really dumb. I'll give it credit for the different types of people and the women look like they are enjoying themselves (and not just the lesbians). It's a shame there are comics and hentai games where its too often like that.

I'll admit I found this an amusing way to learn something about Norse folklore...

Also kinda of boob-related, but neither informative nor funny: Hathor the Cow Goddess
http://badwebcomicswiki.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Hathor_the_Cow_Goddess
http://www.thecowgoddess.com/

It's basically tracts about the virtues of breast-feeding with some vaguely hippie-derived mumbo jumbo on top, somewhat reminiscent in art style to Stephanie McMillan.

I like Oglaf, admitedly some of it is a bit dumb but generally it makes me chuckle. I'm also a big fan of Manly Guys Doing Manly Things and Chief O'Brien at Work.

Hathor pretty much stopped making comics about two years ago. It's for the better since she was starting to advocate for women to give birth out alone in nature by themselves (not even with a midwife), because that's how they did it in the pre-historic days like nature intended. Now she writes novels. I honestly have to wonder what her kids are like now.

As for Humon, I suggest checking out her Neils and Gang stories. The basic concept of a character like Neils could work if you kept him as a true villain and not the main character. But this thing makes you wonder.

Since you brought that up, can one also count the other works of Bleedman?

Bleedman, at the time, was pretty much a major vortex of DA-grade autism: crossovers with childhood properties, cool-to-the-plebs art, and panty shots. He's also a textbook example of creative bankruptcy and I recall there were a few professional artists (and popular artists) who resented him greatly, because he embodied the whole "draw fan art, get popular" mentality... hell, if Patreon were around back in Bleedman's heyday, he'd probably outpace Sakimichan by several thousand pesos. Nowadays, Bleedman elicits a "Who?" reaction from most people, but to those of us who were around DA back in the day... good riddance to him falling out of favor.

There's plenty that's been said about the PPGD and Grim Tales that's been said already (I still find Grim Tales' "Mandy did 9/11" thing reprehensible, if only because of Bleedman's reaction to the criticism. If he'd waited maybe 10-odd years, then at best, he would've gotten a couple threads on /co/ and no one would pay any mind after that), and I've heard longstanding rumors of character theft, too (i.e. that he basically stole Grim Jr. and Mini-Mandy from another artist), but I don't think anything's been concretely proven.

But the one thing of Bleedman's that sticks out to me is Sugarbits. A good chunk of people thought that Sugarbits was going to be better than PPGD/GT, because wow! Bleedman did something original for a change! Yeah, no, Sugarbits ended up being a twisted* journey into the guy's id (moreso than Grim Tales) and had all manner of weird, fucked up shit (if anyone had any doubt Bleedman is a pedo, this comic about proves it), and a plot that went nowhere in a hurry. It's still going on, but nobody ever talks about it, because it's just not that good. It's a prime example that just because something is an original story... doesn't mean it's always automatically good.

(ETA: *"Horrifying" probably isn't the best description for Sugarbits. That's more appropriate for Grim Tales, given the incest, abortion, and all manner of insane shit going on there)

Also, to the person who mentioned Teahouse a few pages back... I'm legitimately surprised that ended recently. And it wasn't like it was a planned ending, apparently the authors and artists just ran out of motivation and time to do it. Well, at least we won't be plagued by the planned rimming sequence CC mentioned in the "Abrupt End" post. Knowing that, what a page to end on, indeed...
