This would have to be a bill passed by Congress, and there's existing precedent that the federal government can't condition funding on unrelated things. The challenge would go to SCOTUS, who would probably strike it down, and schools would get their funding (and if the executive illegally withholds it, that's again a violation federal statutes). So again, this wouldn't be a "Jackson moment."

A "Jackson moment" is when the Court issues the President an order, and he ignores it. Dobbs simply allows states to pass laws. It doesn't actually order the feds to do or not do anything in particular, so there's nothing there for Biden to disobey.

I'm pro choice because it's absolutely the practical choice to delay demographic collapse but absent severe medical issues, nonviable pregnancies, and children who would be born with an extremely poor prognosis and major deformities and defects, it is absolutely murder for convenience. Sex has a consequence that everyone does accept, but abortion does involve the destruction of a life. When that is done for legitimate reasons it is understandable. When done for simple convenience, it is indicative of a moral failure, and the morals of the society around me do indeed have an effect on me.

Also the deck is stacked in favor of modern women- welfare, public assistance through nonprofits and churches, child support courts- it's amazing that they get one setback that is really nothing more than saying hey, maybe the constitution didn't codify abortion rights- and it's the end of the fucking world.

The promotion of abortion as something good is fundamentally a bad position for any culture to have. We have moved far, far away from the Clinton era of "legal, safe, and rare" to having at least one abortion so you can pursue your career making PowerPoint presentations in pointless office drone job being seen as something noble.

Yes, I am personally staunchly anti-abortion but I was willing to tolerate legal, safe, and rare as a middle ground that we can grumble on existing. But as things have gone off the deep end I am now of the mind to fuck the middle ground. There isn't one anymore.
