General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Using Google search/trends is kinda eh since a multitude of shit can affect it and it can easily be misleading depending on parameters. I tend to frequent /#/ during race horse hours (I have a gambling problem, /#/ is literally gambling without having to pay shit, sue me) but all indications tend to point to a different story. This isn't 2020 anymore. Prior to Salome capturing lightning in a bottle, which she is currently fumbling right now due to stream choice and hard commitment to her Ojou larp, Hololive was mopping the floor with Nijisanji in every conceivable metric in terms of numbers (daily, total CCV, subs, etc). We even got a glimpse of merch earnings for some Holos like Pekora back when there was an exploit in their shop (Pekoras goods basically earned close to 1 million dollars with one merch run). So don't know how you can point to google metrics, or even twitter likes if you wanna go that way (Nijisanji has a topic on twitter which inflates their likes) and say that Nijisanji is currently bigger than Hololive. Maybe after Salome thanks to her tourist but even that is starting to drop.
Dude the idiot i responded to was making the old trite claim "my company is the biggest and it's synonymous with vtubers". Google trends is a pretty good indicator of fame, since it's the fucking search engine of the world.
It showed that in japan Niji still tops Holo in volume of searches, even without the peak from Salome, and that Holo dwarves Niji in the international scene.
It also shows that vtubing is still prmarly a Japanese thing.
I dont know how any of that is controversial

You guys were right. The fish truly is the devil.

Watching this convinces me that Finana's mildly retarded. Not surprising that she'd jump on 'trap' and 'futa' being slurs because she's easily confused by words. A small one off joke of 'P A R T Why the fuck not' left her asking "What was that even supposed to mean? PART?"

And I'm telling you right now man that Google trends is not the end all be all of popularity. Using that one specific data set which even google says should NOT be used for scientific polling is dumb. As a basketball nerd who likes using numbers to make arguments to measure the impact of certain players (thinking basketball is probably my second most viewed content creator after vtubers) you need hard numbers AND context to determine the veracity of something. If you point to google trends, I could easily point to current YouTube daily analytics since we have them available. Hell, /#/ when it's not overrun by schizos and tribalfaggots, provides objective graphs and trends not just for Nijisanji and Hololive but for most well known vtuber companies. Again, one (1) data set, metric or parameter should not be used as the end all be all of anything.

Ok then, I don't know what /#/ is so please link those graphs and trends instead of just writing that you don't like my data.
To be honest the overall google searches seems like a good indicator of how a group is famous and "synonymous with vtubing" within the larger population, so not only those that actively follow vtubers.
Also since google and youtube are Alphabet I'm guessing that "youtube searches" from Google Trends uses the same data from Youtube analytics

The only proper response to tribal numberfaggotry is dismissal and calling the other person a retard. trying to whip out your own chosen set of statistics to say "no actually Team B is greater than Team A" is just playing the same retarded game.

as the old saying goes “I learned long ago never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides the pig likes it.”
The fact that everyone is calling this tribalfagging while I'm posting a huge W for both of the companies, since trends shows one is holding strong in domestic market and one is unbeatable overseas is really one of the biggest mysteries in science right now. It's simple numberfagging but y'all too retarded and I should touch grass for engaging with this
The bigger mystery is how you seemingly failed to read that I was critiquing your "response to tribal numberfaggotry" not calling you a tribalfag yourself. but sure it's everyone else that's to retarded to understand lol.

Touch some turf my dude and it's all gonna be okay.

As the person said Google trends isn't exactly that great of a overall metric of how good something is doing just one that gives a possible estimate of vague interest. It doesn't take into account for example individual chuuba searches or stuff like Holocure blowing up specifically.

/#/ is the /vt/ local horseracing and metric gathering thread. Peak tribalfagging but they document the top numbers for streams of all Vtubing over the course of the current month and sometimes lists down other metrics like sales of merchandise, sales/downloads of Vtuber related games, financial reports, etc.

For example:

This doesn't tell me what I was exploring tho. I don't watch the NBA, so if you ask me to name the most famous active player and team I'll tell you Harden and the Lakers, but if I were to watch the latest stats probably the names on top would be different. Same thing for other sports like soccer: everyone knows Cristiano Ronaldo but he's not the top performing nor the top payed player now

/#/ is basically a /vt/ split thread. It's pretty much the de facto news, horse racing, and vtuber analytics thread there and most shitposters tend to use graphs and images created there out of context to shitpost. It's actually a good time to lurk there this week since the month ended and a bunch of data and chartanons will be posting their data sets for June. If the thread isn't schizoing out and chartanons are posting you can even ask for specific data with some analysis for certain topics like trends, possible causes of increase/decrease of viewership, anomalies in numbers, etc. Thread was the one who figured out the 2021 and 2022 YouTube culls across the platform, gave a glimpse as to how much certain holos were making with their merch via an exploit, Luxiems main demo actually being CN instead of NA, etc.

So you know the whole back and forth about the whole Kronii being gendfluid thing but she now currently identifies as female according to her roomate? Supposedly a major factor to this is that she's reconnecting with her local church apparently.
Lmao link, fucking koreans. They lure you in with phisical exercise and bang you're in a sect

Going from a twittard to a religious nut isn't exactly an upgrade. Thank God I don't watch her.
