General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

and remember, the only good bugmen is a dead bugmen
TMI: I also lost my granddad 3 days later last year. The first week of July for me was pretty shit
oh and don't forget to check out KSON, she seems like a cool IRL-Vtuber :tomgirl:

For what it's worth she also rated these as S tier in her dessert tier. Looking them up when she talked about them they're evidenty fairly popular in NY and that area. They do also sell them where I live but I'd never heard of them before and had to go looking for them.
They sell them in Costco and Trader Joes.

How could you never hear about the Black and White cookie?

All I can say about the antis

In general I agree with you. That being said, I do think that the doomposting and criticism tends to come more from a place of ignorance when it comes to Nijisanji compared to Hololive.

This is mostly just a result of Hololive being the default in the EN fandom (especially back in 2021, when most people here got into vtubing) and thus being the most popular around here. There aren't a ton of Nijisanji fans here, while there are a lot of people who only engage with Nijisanji in relation to drama. Go to, say, the Niji threads on /vt/ and one will see the opposite dynamic at play.

It's a bit like if Hololive was obscure, and most people here only discussed Hololive in relation to Calli liking cuck art, Nene plagiarizing people, Rushia imploding her career, etc. In other words, taking real incidents - some small, some large - and making that their sole lens for viewing Hololive. People do doompost about Calli and Kiara, but that makes up a relatively small portion of Hololive discussion here, and such commenters are typically met almost instantly by others - including myself - mocking them for doomposting. As you mentioned, it's a meme.

In the case of the specific drama that caused people here to sperg out about politics - Finana banning "trap" - I am one of the people here who criticized her for it. However, a lot of the energy here has big Twitter cancel energy, as in, inflating something relatively minor into a supposed giant yab. And just like most Twitter cancel efforts, the anger will probably have no real impact Finana. Dislike bombs have a poor record of accomplishing things. Feel free to quote this if I'm wrong, but a month from now barely anyone is going to give a shit about this.

It reminds me of the Pomu-Finana offcollab in which Uki showed up - people here proudly proclaimed that she'd kill her growth through such things, yet she actually gained more subscribers than average when that happened.

To use another example, though admittedly an old one, people here once talked themselves into believing that Anycolor's Yumenographia project was connected to the literal yakuza based off of a few misread comments.

In general Anycolor has had a very strong latter half of 2021 and 2022 after making a lot of very necessary improvements, so the talk of Nijisanji being constantly one step away from blowing up feels a bit like desperation on the part of those who simply want that to be true. I've read people proclaim the coming demise of Pomu, Vox, Luxiem, all of NijiEN, and the entire company as a whole, yet clearly none of that has happened.

Nijifags here definitely need to have a thicker skin, as I've said multiple times. People in general need to have thicker skins here. As much as Nijisanji fans here are often guilty of jumping on bait, Hololive fans often fall into the spergery just as readily. That's why my general take on such things is to just ignore the most blatant spergs.
Just to touch on the nature of the blowback you addressed there re; "twitter cancel culture energy"
Much of what you described there I would just say isn't directed any more at one company or another "inflating something minor into a supposed giant yab" is more or less what some of the thread was falling prey to a day or two ago when people were gassing up calli being dumb and talking about the party into something big just because they wanted to see the drama come out of it, which isn't even an oversimplification, there were people saying that they were doing exactly that and getting annoyed at anyone giving them pushback on the matter I guess maybe some of that gravitates to Niji as a trickle down of the fact that there are fewer niji watchers here and so that type of spergery receives less pushback, it's certainly possible.

it's a mindset of desiring drama reality and reason be damned. that's just, for some reason, grown a great deal in the last year or so in this thread. Which I mean, in spite of me thinking it's stupid on one hand I kind of "get it" it's kiwifarms, chasing drama and internet people doing stupid shit is what we, and the site, are here for, but on the other there's a big gap between observing and documenting stupid internet shit to laugh at, and outright fabricating it from one's own desires for it to be real.

I do definitely concede the point that there's a disparity in that the people that push that shit on niji related matters have a greater tendency to not watch anything niji related though while the people gassing up Kiara or Calli related drama actually do watch hololive. I just mean that while the circumstances are different the playbook tends to be the same and the desire is just to rubberneck at the latest drama even if it has to be forced (and no, for anyone else reading this this is specifically about people blowing things out of proportion, not writing off any and all criticism of people/companies as dooming)
I'm just as in the dark as you are.
Count me as a third I've casually followed Rosemi since debut and know of like zero drama related to her aside from rrats predating her debut saying she fucked over her former company (never bothered digging much into it other than just seeing it mentioned in passing) and some minor nonsense with some roblox streamer for some reason starting shit with her, or I guess her viewers more specifically, during I think it was a ringfit stream.

Sorry for asking, but spoonfeed me, what has Rosemi done to lose her audience like that?, i was under the impression that she was in general one of the most liked and lowkey NijiENs
Some people think she's lost her audience because of daring to interact with penis havers. I haven't seen much evidence for that, though. In general NijiEN's strongest growth period, even for most of the girls, have been since Luxiem's debut, which has been covered by various posters here and even in /#/. Looking at SocialBlade, Rosemi's growth in 2022 has been higher than in 2021, save for the period right after her debut, obviously.

I haven't seen the SC spreadsheets in a while but superchat numbers for the girls in general has also been higher in 2022 than 2021.

I have no problem with people not liking NijiEN, but saying that they are failing to find or keep an audience is definitely some hardcore cope.

However, if she starts quoting the Bible during streams or whatever, I am gone.
Why are you hiding away in God's light masterstocking, embrace him as he will cleanse your soul.

But for real though I don't think Kronii is a religious nut. She will be the type that attends the masses and group ceremonies for the social aspect of it more so than the spiritual aspect.

The other part of this retarded rrats that I've seen in a few "PINK WOMAN BAD" threads is that she had a bit of creativity that people liked (eg: Rosemi Night Live) and now the grandest intellectuals of /vt/ have decided since she decided to start focusing on School again that she's "fallen off" and due to some sort of "uptick" in collabs she's been doing she's just coasting and leeching off other Niji EN Livers.

Lmao, thats pretty weak, even the most creative types have to fallback on easy content for a week or two, beyond the bullying rrats that seems retarded then.

anyways, clip tax, HL seems like they hit a home-run with HoloX, lots of their streams are a blast

Is there more to the Kronii church stuff than screenshots of VT shitposts?

I traced them back to the thread they originated from and it looks like people were just joking about reasons for her not streaming on a Sunday back in April and then doing exaggerated freakouts about her hating Jesus when she started streaming Elden Ring during church hours.

I'd like to see some screenshots or other confirmation before I buy it, because it feels like someone is just trying to start a rrat on VT.

The posts about it all started pretty recently and read like one dude on there is just repeating himself to try and spread it.

@Burnt Fish Response to your reply,
I agree that the tendency in large part comes from just wanting to laugh at internet people, which is this forum's original purpose. That being said with vtubing in specific I also think there is a strong team aspect to it. Case in point, the other comment you quoted was Trailcamwhore claiming with zero evidence that Rosemi lost half of her paypigs and that NijiEN is not finding an audience, which is pretty empirically false. A comment like that nonetheless instantly gets multiple likes, whereas if you or I or anyone did the same thing but with "Rosemi" replaced with any HoloEN we'd rightfully be called dumb.

This doesn't surprise me as Trailcamwhore has been sperging out over feeling spurned by NijiEN for some time now, I mention it more just to illustrate a point.

People tend to forget that Rosemi is one of the NijiENs who has the most stuff going on irl besides vtubing.
