Agreed... I have a husband, but we are not legally married because otherwise my disabled ass would get no help in life. America's bureaucracy is still very much set up to cater to "households" and "families" and will generally provide more tax breaks, medical and social safety net benefits, and student financial aid to single people with one or no income.

Edit: I don't blame Polissa for being pissed about the restriction and not realizing what it would do to your disability benefit to be married, but we live in an age where you can get divorced via the internet. Their credit must be absolute shit, that they can't pay for a simple Legal zoom thing. And it's also crazy BPD bullshit to want to sue the church for something you did voluntarily. I don't know about Alabama but some states require couples to live apart a certain amount of time before they can divorce (with some extenuating circumstances they don't meet). I'd guess that might be why she was wanting to do it while Josh goes to Florida. Residency requirements are pretty universal but of course only the filing party needs it so she'd be able to file while he awaits her in a swamp trailer. The cost is pretty cheap if both are going no fault, no alimony, nothing, though. Especially since she's low income. Too bad Amazon doesn't do divorces. She could add it to her wishlist with high priority!! next to it.

Pardon me for ducking my head into this thread with some very late takes. Very nice, hooking OP and I haven't seen much of the e-begging thread so this person is new to me. I've been insomnia-reading through and noticing a few things that I haven't seen mentioned.

The post from several days ago where the bottles of Sunkist and several other brand name sodas were spotted: why is she buying bottles if she's so poor? Cans are cheaper and you get more by volume overall in the 12 packs. Why can the husband not eat pasta, but can eat Hot Pockets, which are coated in bread? Why would she start a garden when even the most rudimentary meal prep is completely beyond her frail, disabled body's capability? Home grown vegetables don't come pre-cut either. Why would the baptist church be responsible for knowing the law regarding disability?

I agree with some, seems like she's lying about being constantly hand-to-mouth. There are inconsistencies everywhere and for someone who claims to not even be scraping by with what the government provides, she shows no effort on her part to make better buying decisions to stretch her dollar, as shown with even the bottled soda. She wants fatty, carby junk that one person in that house can't even eat supposedly and SNAP won't pay for. And likewise I suspect all of her own health problems are self-diagnosed. If she'd gone to a doctor it would have been explained to her that she can't eat half of that shit either, ingredient-checking would have been explained to her and her diabetic husband, home-cooked meals being healthier than packaged, ready-to-eat junk would have been emphasized, especially at her weight. She begs for money so they can order dinner from DoorDash or whoever instead of eat the groceries they could be buying with government-provided benefits. She has a mom who brings her food occasionally. She's way better off than many. At this point, it's not about life-saving assistance, it's about having other people fund luxuries.

I won't even get into the animal abuse all over this thread, shit makes me MATI, but it's fairly obvious the pets are always an afterthought. She hoards pets solely to aid the grift. Suddenly one of said animals becomes a "service dog" to make the need seem more dire, she must have the proper equipment even though the other animals are "starving." Priorities are way out of whack. Many shelters and sanctuaries for animals rely on donations to care for their animals, but there's always start-up money for genuine rescues and it's clear she wasn't able to care for them from the start. I hope they get taken away.

TBF, I believe there are adult coloring books that allow adults to relax or cope with stress/trauma -- probably in part because nobody teaches coping skills any more and downtime in the internet age is a foreign concept to many. In that regard, I can understand their purpose.

For Polissa, however, this seems consistent with her "REE! Give me what I want even though I claim to have more pressing needs every other tweet," attitude that's gone unchanged throughout her thread.

I see she also wants a $9 journal for recording her post-hysterectomy thoughts. For less than that she could get a 50-sheet pack of looseleaf paper and put it in a 3-ring binder to create her own journal. But that's not as glamorous and requires her to spend money and effort she doesn't want to.

They have food but if they didn't limit your visits, then not enough people who need it will get the food, since people would take more than they can give.

Also, that's the point of the emergency appointments. They give you enough to last a weekend and you can do that multiple times. If she uses food banks she'd already know that.

Munchies have to let everyone know that they’re sicker than you, even if you’re actually the sicker one. I know plenty of women that have had hysterectomies and they don’t go around wearing shirts stating that or coloring uterus doodles.

Coloring can certainly be therapeutic as @Kiwi Lime Pie said, but with this e beggar it feels like it plays more to how childish she is. I knew she was immature when I saw how many animals she had, but I know any people on disability or with them that are far more mature than this nearly 40 year old woman. The only thing on her hysterectomy list that I can see being beneficial for her would be that wedge for her back. Everything else can be done with less pretty items or are superfluous. I don't personally see from a clinical point of view how a hysterectomy is a treatment for PCOS unless they are also removing ovaries and putting her into menopause. Just trading one problem for another. Unless she has severe tumors or fibroids, it should be treated, not all removed. Plus then she will never have a chance to get rid of the weight if they put her right into menopause, and her bones and joints will crumble before she's 50, especially with the phosphoric acid from the soda and general inflammation from the beetus she obviously has and is in denial about. I'm shocked the doctors aren't explaining any of this, this is proven science. It makes me wonder if they prefer she be sterilized even if that would be worse for her health, because she's fucking insane.
