They don't like individuality and they don't like collectives (races/nations) either. They have no beliefs.
I believe that all their life they have been told that everyone is equal and have taken it to mean that there are - or better should - be no differences between people. That's basically where the gender ideology, anti-racism and pro-immigration bullshit come from: their ideal society is not necessarily a diverse one, but one that is quite uniform, a society where all differences, not just inequalities, have been eliminated.

Does anyone else get a slightly uncanny vibe when you're talking to redditors? Like they're 99.99% accurate replicas of how a human would act, but something is ever so slightly off when talking to them. They just seem so smug and detached from everything all the time. The obvious answer is autism, but I don't see people acting like this other places on the internet. An autist can understand people if he tries hard enough, but these guys seem like they couldn't understand you no matter how hard they tried. Like a fish trying to walk on the land.

The only thing I can think of is they're that way because they're insulated from criticism in a way no other community has been. People loved bandying the term 'hugbox' to refer to Tumblr back in the day, but the sitewide moderation wasn't all that strict and you could still argue with people if you really wanted to. With reddit you're subjected to 3 automods and a word filter before your post even reaches human eyes. And then there's of course the infamous jannies. I guess if I spent my days in a place where calling me a faggot was impossible I might be a bit dorky too.
The uncanny part for me is how they whimsically they alternate between 'down to earth normal teenager (despite being 20-40 years old) who just wants to play video games and loves doggos XD' and 'genocidal sociopath who's just a few steps away from being a terrorist'. At least you people are consistent about being genocidal sociopaths.

I once had a job on a busy road with no parking lot, the people that took their car to the office had a hard time finding where to leave their vehicle. In that situation, all things considered, public transportation was probably better.

But overall, even in a big city, cars are really convenient. Even taking your laptop to work isn't safe because of the pickpocket niggers on the subway. Also good luck if it rains or whatever. Riding a bicycle is super inconvenient.
Bro, work out. Going around, perpetually afraid of people is a cucked way to live.

If you don't look an easy mark, you won't get your shit fucked with.

r/UrbanHell is the worst. Some Americans got bored of their large, comfortable houses and decided to embrace ugly, soulless vertical slums designed to squeeze in as much people as possible,

As a Pole living in a commieblock it makes my blood boil, I could talk whole night about how bad it's to live in one. Redditors seem woefully unaware of how shit the quality of life is in these blocks. This commieblock praising is a mental equivalent of white people travelling to Africa and fawning over how happy the locals are without all the material wealth.

Urban sprawl and suburbia are bad, sure, but why are redditors looking to USSR for the solution instead of Scandinavia I have no idea.

Soulless people enjoy soulless architecture I guess. Those redditors have no sense of harmony and no connection to nature.

These people are the ones that are targeted by every major corporation in the world. They'll buy/consoom the latest thing because it's what has popped up on their social media stream.

They will never own property because renting like a 23 year old idiot is normalised among their circle because having responsibility for something you own is too hard.

They genuinely think cities are good places to live because there are some shops and bars/restaurants there and that's worth living piled on top of each other surrounded by utter fucking lunatics.

That doesn't really change his overall point about convenience. Have you ever actually had to take public transit on a regular basis for anything? I have. Even stripped of all other considerations it's more time consuming by far. A roughly ten minute trip by car can take 30-45 minutes down the same stretch of road depending on how many people are getting on and off and how quick they are. Particularly if you're unlucky like I was and the bus detoured a few blocks before my stop to a train station, leaving me picking between walking a few extra blocks and crossing a major road, or waiting an extra 5-10 minutes to get to the stop closest to my house. Similarly what's a 20 minute trip by car can be a 45-60 minute trip by subway once you factor in walking to and from the train and waiting for a train, and that's even with one destination being right by the subway stop.

For that matter, even with gas prices being what they are nowadays, driving is likely also the cheaper option for the distances involved in city transit. Any car that gets a reasonable amount of miles to the gallon will mean you're spending less money on gas used by the trip than you would be spending for the bus/train fare.

All in all, public transit is for people who for some reason cannot use a car to travel to and from their destination. Traveling by mass transit only really begins to make sense for the individual for long haul trips where it may still make sense.

It's a discussion forum with no real discussion because the users can hide "bad" opinions by downvoting them.
That's a great point. Reddit really isn't a place for discussion, it's a place to have your already held beliefs reinforced. The voting system hides people with dissenting views so you never have to see them. It actively discourages people with different opinions from even engaging in the conversation. That's not at all how a debate or conversation is supposed to work. No one is having their beliefs challenged just their egos inflated with upvotes. After the banning's and comment hidings you are left only with people who are there to upvote things they agree with and jerkoff each other in the comments. It's the worlds largest internet forum and it's completely and utterly broken.

I simply was responding to the individual who stated he was too afraid to use mass transit because he might get beat up or whatever.

The idea of going through life as a victim seems pretty stupid to me.

A subreddit dedicated to a discontinued line of toys has seemingly gone mad.
Fucking politics everywhere.
Apparently, this specific line of discontinued toys are tranny magnets. I couldn't tell you what caused it, other than most everyone involved being autistic men who never grew up.
Display of troon misogyny

Every time I see a sentence starting with "as a christian" it is followed by the worst theology I have ever seen in my life.

"as a Christian, I think that you shouldn't go to church, the bible is worthy of mockery and God probably doesn't give a shit about Earth"
I'm sorry, what do you think the word "Christian" means?

They don't want to eliminate all differences, that's why they harp on "diversity". They like diverse perversions, hair colors, cats, and gender expressions. What they want to eliminate is all but the most shallow, surface level differences because they themselves have nothing below the surface.

True, but remember that they want to "normalize" their perversions. That means that they don't want any meanies (like you and me) to judge them for said perversions. They want to be able to openly celebrate their perversions, and we should take a blind eye to that.

Although, sometimes it feels as if they want to force their perversions on everybody else, which would make everyone uniform in perversion. It reminds me of Eros and Civilization by German sociologist (these crop up a lot with redditor ideas) Herbert Marcuse, one of the basic works of Critical Theory. He imagined a society of polymorphous perversion where everyone just follows their desires and makes ~le quirky special art uwu~ and somehow it doesn't destroy culture.
