I legit don't understand how he affords his lifestyle. I knew military guys that had a steady paycheck and a room but because of their car purchases they rarely ate out. Did he get disability, using his 1.7 GPA to prove he's retarded?

We've done a lot of speculation on his finances and it comes down to

1. Debt. I think he has to take on a LOT of debt. We know he refi'd the half hovel and has basically no equity in it. His wife has a prior bankruptcy to her name too. I would not be surprised at all if he has multiple credit cards he makes minimum payments on. It's a classic 1.7 GPA move.

2. PPP fraud, basically known at this point. Whether or not the law catches up to them, who knows.

3. Some kind of tax game involving Nikki's parents, or just retard neetbux provided by them for taking care of their retarded daughter. I don't think Pat's parents have a lot of money so I doubt it's coming from them.

4. He did get a one time $100k advance for his writing, $100k is almost fuck you money in midwestern rubesville. He has probably gotten beer money from the rest of his work, certainly not enough to have turned a profit.

5. Some renewals from his insurance selling gig that if I remember correctly, his first, inferior wife's family set him up with before he was a famous member of the creative class.

And with all of this you have to keep in mind that he lives in a flyover state, in a 'diverse' neighborhood of a shitty city in a run down former frat tenement. So his daily expenses are probably pretty low, so he can make debt fueled conspicuous purchases more comfortably.
