Gender and sexual orientation are different things yes, but a transwoman will never be a Female, period. No safe space, social construct or surgery is going to change that.

Hey guys, thought I'd give my two cents here. So look let me just say that I do not hate trans people. Hate is a fundamentally un-Christian thing and thus I want what is best for trans folk. However I highly doubt that the answer to the pain that you are feeling is to undergo all these medical procedures. After all, the pain isn't coming from your body malfunctioning it comes from the head. I think that, at best, gender reassignment is a bandaid for the problem. A bandaid which will almost certainly fall off sooner rather than later. I am not a psychologist and therefore I do not know what exactly the answer is but I am sure that it would most likely involve learning to cope with these feelings.

I appreciate that you expressed your opinion calmly without telling me to kill myself. Gender reassignment definitely isn't some magic cure that works for everyone and some people regret it BUT for majority of people it improves gender dysphoria and overall well being.

I've got no problem with trans people who identify as "male" or "female" and attempt to live it out as convincingly and quietly as possible, knowing that there are some fe/male spaces that will always be outside their reach but content to do the best they can.
