It looks like the lawsuit was their divorce. I saw a petition for dissolution of marriage, which is fancy speak for "filing for divorce". It's the first pleading filed. Looks pretty standard to me, accounting for differences in state laws.

I get wearing a frock coat, as it can look rather nice. But the light blue, mixed with the oversized bowtie, makes him look like a budget version of the Mad Hatter, more than a gentleman. A lack of ostentation is key, I think, when dressing formally. But evidently this man thinks the exact opposite.
